Belongs to the Thai League 1. Established in 1988 as "BANGKOK UNIVERSITY FOOTBALL CLUB" and changed its team name to "BANGKOK UNITED FOOTBALL CLUB" in 2009. In 2016, they finished second in the Thai League 1 and qualified for the AFC Champions League playoffs in 2017. They use Thammasat Stadium as their home stadium.
