Under clear skies, the 12th round of the 2017 Kanto Youth (U-15) Football League Division 1 took place at the Tokyo Gas Musashino-En Multipurpose Ground.
The league match is now in its second round, and it will be a match where both teams understand each other's characteristics.

【First half】
In the early stages, a fierce battle for dominance is unfolding as both teams employ strong defensive strategies to maintain possession of the ball.
7 minutes, when Kaneko put pressure on the back pass from the opponent's defender to the goalkeeper, the blocked ball went towards the unguarded goal but missed the target.
At 13 minutes, CB Shin passed the ball to Aoki who ran behind the opponent's DF, but the opponent's DF intercepted it.
Kanemaru and Yasuda connect with this second ball, and Aoki shoots in front of the goal again, but it goes wide to the right.
After that, Fukagawa raised the possession rate with coordinated defense and composed build-up, and was looking for a way to the opponent's goal in the 22nd minute.
When a rough cross is put in from the left side to the center, the clearing with a header is sucked into the teammate's goal, resulting in falling behind.
Still, without panicking, Fukagawa advanced the game in the 27th minute, passing the ball to Sugawara, who had run up, via Tokiwa and Yasuda, with a build-up from Shin.
Sugawara boldly takes on one-on-one challenges and crosses the ball, and the ball, which hits the opponent's defender and changes direction, goes straight into the goal.
The first half ended with a back-and-forth battle and ended in a tie.

【Second half】
In the 44th minute of the second half, Ryo AOKI steals the ball from the opponent's defender with aggressive defense from the front line and heads straight towards the goal.
Kaneko, who received the ball freely in the end, calmly slots it in and scores his first goal.
As the back-and-forth offensive and defensive battle continues, the defense remains focused, and time passes without either team being able to score.
Kumakura calmly catches the opponent's chance in the 67th minute and scores an additional point in the 78th minute.
Kawaguchi, who came on as a substitute, received the ball from Tokiwa and skillfully dribbled past the goalkeeper, calmly slotting the ball into the goal to score an additional point.
In this Kawaguchi league match, the first goal will determine the outcome.
The match ended as it is and we gained 3 points for the first time since Sec. 8.

There are still many challenges, but it was a game with many positive elements such as bouncing back from behind and the first goals by Kaneko and Kawaguchi.
I want to tighten my focus and prepare for the next match.
