○Match Report
【Challenge to the next stage】
FC Tokyo U-18, aiming for their first championship in two years, will compete in the final round of the 41st Japan Club Youth Soccer Championship (U-18) Kanto Tournament.
The final round match will be held at the "Nippon Steel Ground". Despite the environment of power outages and water shortages, the players are calmly preparing.
The opponent in the final is Kawasaki Frontale U-18, who defeated Yokohama F.Marinos Youth and Kashima Antlers Youth to advance.
Coach Sato said to the players, "It will definitely be a tough game. Various players have shown their strength to get this far. We need to continue doing what we always do."
The match started at 13:00 with a pleasant breeze blowing in Tokyo.
【First Half】
Kawasaki dominated the ball.
Build up carefully from the GK and come to take the initiative.
Tokyo, on the other hand, does not give freedom with a coordinated press as a team, led by Hara and Kubo in the front line.
The first chance came in the 17th minute, when Haru won the ball from Takase's goal kick and passed it to Kubo, who then swung his left foot after dribbling.
This is a offside decision where the opponent GK blocked it and Hara followed up.
After that, Tokyo, who took the initiative from defense, moved the game in the 41st minute.
The opponent's goalkeeper hesitates in controlling the ball when he passes the goal kick to a player just outside the central penalty area.
Kubo does not miss this and steals the ball to enter the PA and is inevitably fouled, earning a penalty kick.
Kubo calmly settles on the right and successfully scores the opening goal.
In the final 45 minutes, Okaniwa forcefully broke through two opposing players he confronted on the right side and created a chance.
The defensive line, centered around Shinohara, protects the goal and prevents the opponent from scoring, leading the first half with a one-point advantage.
【Halftime】
Coach Sato
"We are inviting trouble from our own mistakes. Let's not give them any openings. Let's aim for a goal from a set play and fight for the team until the end."
【Second half】
Tokyo made a substitution, bringing in YOKOYAMA for KOBAYASHI (Miki), to bring a change in the attack.
In the 46th minute of the start, Sakaguchi aims for the middle with a ball from the right side and hits the post directly.
In the 48th minute, Kobayashi (Shin) cut in diagonally from the left side and aimed for the goal, but it went wide of the frame.
In the 59th minute, Yokoyama aggressively pressed from the front line and stole the ball from Bose. He then aimed for the goal from the right side, but the goalkeeper made a save.
Tokyo, unable to score any additional points, substituted Kubo and Hirakawa for Sugiyma and Arakawa in the 63rd minute.
However, as the game progressed, Kawazaki gradually took control and in the 77th minute, a cross came from the right side.
In the 81st minute, a play was created on the right side, and in the end, the player escaped to the left side and faced Takase one-on-one, but was blocked.
Tokyo, which did not lose concentration even in the final pinch, grabbed the championship for the first time in two years and kept a clean sheet in all five matches of this tournament.
