Rei HIRAKAWA Interview

Q, what kind of play did you have in mind when you entered the pitch in a difficult situation with one less player against Iwata?
AFirst of all, I was conscious of not conceding goals and trying to get involved in the attack and score whenever there was a chance.

Q, how do you reflect on your actual play?
A, there were several scenes where the ball changed hands, so we need to do more in that aspect. In terms of the attacking part, we were able to make a few through passes a few steps ahead, so I want to increase such plays.

Q, were you able to actively showcase your strengths?
A, I didn't have the image of constantly making direct passes, but I think it's important to play towards the goal if there is a chance, so I played with that mindset.

Q: Last season, you gained experience playing in the J2 League on a loan transfer. Were there any moments in yesterday's match where you were able to utilize that experience?
AI think being able to dive in without hesitation, including loose balls and ball contests, is something I have been able to do since last season, so I want to show more of that.

Q, this is an opportunity gained in the Levain Cup, what kind of play do you want to appeal with in the next opportunity to participate?
A, I think it is difficult to get involved in games, including league matches, just by playing. So, it is important to firmly demonstrate your own characteristics and then play boldly.

Q, what do you think is necessary to express the desired style of football and achieve victory in the Levain Cup?
A, I think it's a club that definitely needs to win when you see the player selection, so it's important to prioritize winning. Each individual needs to play more positively. There are also difficult aspects in balancing not easily dropping the ball and what is being asked, but I felt that more aggressive play is necessary.
