2023 CAMP INTERVIEW DAY16

[Player Interview]
<Kota TAWARATSUMIDA>

Q, how was it to score in the last game of the Okinawa camp and make it three consecutive wins?
A, I think I can appeal as an individual. However, there are also mistakes and I still think there are things I can do.

Q, Did you have many opportunities to talk with the side back players, and what kind of conversations did you have?
A, when we are passing the ball in our own half, if the wide player does not come to support, the ball will not circulate as a team, so we talked about the switching point and the support when passing the ball.

Q, What kind of feeling do you have about stacking up the last crumbling part at the camp?
A, I think we have a good relationship in the game because we communicate not only on the field but also off the field, as we didn't train together last season.

Q: Please tell us a little more about what you have done and what you have felt throughout the entire camp.
A, I think that if I can bring my own style to the J1 stage with my characteristic dribbling, my quality as a player will improve if I can increase the number of times I can bring it to that style.

Q, What preparations do you want to make for the Miyazaki camp before the opening?
A, I also have a practice match at the Miyazaki camp, so I want to continue to appeal with good play there.

<Keigo HIGASHI>

Q, How was the first camp looking back on it today?
A, I think it was a good camp. We had practice matches and there were also some issues, so I hope we can adjust well in the next month.

Q, how do you feel about the progress and challenges regarding the final breakdown in this camp?
A, I still think we can do more. We have tried many combinations, and I think we are at a stage where we are finding better ones. If the players who are selected to play can showcase their strengths, it will become our advantage. I hope the young players can also bring out their strengths and bring energy to the team.

Q, How do you think the competition is intensifying with the starting lineup not yet decided?
A, I think it is a strength of the team that the quality does not decrease in the 90 minutes, including players who enter from the middle of the game, which was not often seen last season. I also think that competition and battles within the team are very good for the team.

Q, There is also a Miyazaki camp, but what kind of accumulation do you want to make?
A, I said last season that we need to adjust for the season and focus on winning, but in the end, it's about the delicate details, the determination to win, the ball control, and the nastiness to win. I want to switch to season mode from practice matches and focus on these aspects.

Q, What kind of year do you want personally?
A, I want to have fun. Today's game was also fun, and soccer is fun, so I want to push myself even harder in it.

Yuta ARAI

Q: How was the game review?
A, I was conscious of scoring in every game, but unfortunately I couldn't score today. Since there is also a Miyazaki camp, I want to rest well after returning and enter the next camp in a good condition.

Q, how was the feeling when you played in the game and the combination with the players around you?
A, I wanted to make more plays to change the flow after entering in the middle. I still think that communication is not enough, so I want to improve the quality of combination more at the Miyazaki camp.

Q, What were the things that Araki was able to do and not able to do in the match against the J1 League team?
A, I will continue to do my best to catch up with everyone because there are still many things that are not enough.

Did you feel anything or discover anything throughout the entire Q camp?
I think I need more strength to move forward during the camp, so I want to ask Yuto NAGATOMO and try to grow more as a player.

Q, I think it was a camp that focused on breaking down, but where do you want to exert your strength in that?
A, I hope to take a wide position and show my characteristics even when countering.

Q, There is also a Miyazaki camp, what kind of preparations will you make?
A, I want to show more of my own characteristics, so I don't have much time, but I will do my best to appeal by showing my characteristics.

Q, Do you feel like you are getting closer to becoming a key player? Is there any personal satisfaction?
A, I think I have to produce results. I want to become a player who can score even in a short time.

Q, which emotion is stronger, impatience or excitement?
A, the sense of impatience is greater. The feeling that there is still much to be done is greater.

<Kashif BANGNAGANDE>
Q, Please tell us your thoughts and impressions after finishing the 2-week camp again.
A new team has started with new players joining, but we were able to practice at the same level as last season right away. Compared to last season's camp, we were able to do one or two phases higher in our efforts during the camp. In the final practice match, it was great to be able to score from the efforts we have been making.

Q, Last season, the starting lineup was somewhat solidified and the camp was over, but this season, there is intense competition as it is unclear who will be the starting lineup. How did you feel during the 14 days of competition?
A, Mentally, it was fun every day. Each side back has a different style, and everyone has something that I don't have, so I was looking for things to steal every day during practice and trying them out in games. In this camp, I especially struggled with movements inside, so I watched and compared the movements of other players and tried to steal their good points little by little in the game. The level is really high, and I think anyone can play, so I have a strong desire to win the starting position. In order to do that, I focused on the results and will continue to do so until the opening and even after the opening.

Q, The camp started in a state that was two phases ahead compared to last season, and I think there were many practices focused on breaking down the enemy's goal. How do you feel about the results?
A, There were several scenes in today's match where we were able to execute what we had been practicing, but there were also moments where we couldn't convert our chances. This is still an area that needs improvement. If we can make the necessary adjustments, I believe we can create even more scoring opportunities, so I am looking forward to it.

Q, After returning to Tokyo, what do you want to work on during the second training camp?
Both as a team and as an individual, I think we need to improve our finishing ability after breaking through. I feel it is necessary to raise my own evaluation. I also want to be able to finish those chances that I missed today.

Q, It seems that there are more scenes where we can score in front of the goal in today's two matches. Do you feel a strong sense of accomplishment?
A, I feel the momentum. In today's game, Nakamura's breakthroughs have become opportunities, so I'm thinking of stealing them. We always talk about "that space will open up" at the end of the game with Nakamura, so I think if we increase the number of breakthroughs from the full-back, we can increase our chances. So I'm determined to work on it.
