2023 2nd CAMP REPORT&INTERVIEW
DAY4 Masato MORISHIGE

It has been sunny in Miyazaki, but today the sky is covered with thick clouds. Nevertheless, many people came to watch the practice, just like yesterday.

Today, we adjusted with a relatively light menu due to the midday between yesterday's practice match and tomorrow's practice match.

We conducted exercises to use the pitch widely and confirm set plays until the finish. We focused on the practice match the next day and worked on practical menus.

Even in a relaxed atmosphere throughout, there was a strong emphasis on each play during practice, and if there were any mistakes, the players would push each other to maintain a high level of quality within the team.

We will demonstrate the accumulation of the camp conducted in Okinawa and Miyazaki in tomorrow's match, and make it a valuable opportunity for actual combat towards the opening.

The camp for this season lasted a total of 21 days. Captain Masato MORISHIGE reflects on the entire camp.

Q, How is the team's growth and individual adjustment going as we have the final practice match of the camp tomorrow?
A, personally, things are going well, and as a team, we are finding challenges with each game and working to solve them. I want to continue doing that work at the highest level possible.

Q, Coach Albert PUIG ORTONEDA says that it is important to control the ball and dominate the game. Has the level of completion increased compared to last season through the camp?
In addition to controlling the ball, it is also important to score goals, so I think there is still a lot to do.

Q, you said that you need to score goals, but you also conducted a lot of training to improve the quality at the end during the camp.
In a match, whether we score or concede goals becomes important. Currently, there are many scenes where we can create chances but fail to score, and I think we can improve that by being conscious of it. I want to approach it with a high level of consciousness. Personally, my role doesn't change, but I believe that if I can deliver more accurate passes from higher positions, it will create better situations for our attack.

Q, What effects are there on the team by continuing to play games and practice while trying many combinations without fixing the players, including new recruits?
A, in the midst of position competition, players are able to have good practice in order to win their positions. I think that if we can have high-level practice, it will naturally lead to high-level matches, so I think it's a good thing.

Q, There is an impression that you communicate a lot with young players. Is there anything you are conscious of?
To achieve results throughout the season, the team needs the effort of every member. I believe it is essential for the team's growth to have new talents emerging from the younger players, just like Kuryu MATSUKI, who performed well last season. Therefore, we strive to create an environment where young players can perform comfortably.

Q, What preparations will you make during the remaining period leading up to the opening?
A, I would like to continue to focus on accumulating detailed parts and scoring goals.

Q: Please tell us your goal for this season.
I think it is important to focus on each game and give our all in order to win the league championship, so I want to cherish each and every game.
