2024 CAMP REPORT & INTERVIEW
vol.1 Masato MORISHIGE

The first training camp officially started today in Kunigami Village, Okinawa Prefecture, surrounded by a warm climate.

The team moved from Tokyo to Okinawa yesterday. They adjusted their condition with recovery training, taking into consideration the fatigue from the long distance travel. On the second day after a night's rest, they conducted second division training in preparation for the 2024 season.

In the morning training, we conducted about 90 minutes of passing control, possession, and match-style training. The players adjusted their own condition while confirming the cooperation as a team. In the afternoon, we conducted training in general non-public. We deepened the common understanding of tactics and the basic way of fighting as a team.

In addition, as it was the first day of practice on the field, many local people and fans/supporters came to watch the practice.

The camp has just begun, but from here on, the players will work together to increase their intensity and accuracy, and first of all, make the Okinawa Kunigami camp a fruitful time.

After the end of practice, an interview was conducted with player number 3, Masato MORISHIGE.

Q, Okinawa Kunigami Camp started today.
A, it's only been the first day, so I'm looking forward to the camp life from here on out. There are also new players joining, so as one of the players, I'm excited to see how we will build the team and also feel a sense of crisis. This season, I am determined to achieve results both as an individual and as a team.

Q: Do you have any personal goals for this season's camp?
A, First of all, I am conscious of finishing the camp without getting injured, but I am focusing on pushing myself harder than last season and building my body. I want to gain a lot from training.

Q, The new season has officially started. What are the important points to focus on in order to power up as a team?
A, I think that various players, including those who can score and those who can make chances, are gathered in Tokyo this season. As a team, we want to clarify the form of attack at a high level. We want to be conscious of clearly showing our aim and color, and be able to express high accuracy and reproducible plays in actual battles.

Q, Earlier, there was also the word "preparedness," but how does the team view this camp as a whole?
In terms of attack, it is necessary for the team to have a common understanding of which area to conquer clearly. By doing so, we believe that we can automatically develop our attack and it is also important to repeat the practice. As for defense, I think it depends on how we defend as a team and how we go to take the ball. It also depends on whether each player can have a sense of sacrifice for the team. I would like to play while balancing the part that each player pursues and the part that the team supports.
