The team moved to Miyazaki City, Miyazaki Prefecture yesterday, and today marks the start of the Miyazaki/Tsukijo Camp.
The team, who are preparing for a practice match against Sanfrecce Hiroshima tomorrow, spent about an hour sweating through training focused on passing and control, possession, and game-style exercises.
Quality and tempo of passes, movement before receiving the ball, and defensive positioning in the center to limit the opponent's options were required.
During game-style training, we prioritized the number of plays facing forward, and confirmed how to interact with the ball and how to bring thickness to the attack. Occasionally, there were praises from coach Peter CKLAMOVSKI for the goals scored from combinations and accurate build-ups.
After the end of practice, an interview was conducted with player number 17, Tsubasa TERAYAMA.
Q: Tomorrow is a practice game with Sanfrecce Hiroshima. Please share your enthusiasm as the culmination of the camp.
A, the first thing is to win because it's a game. We are also entering the final stage of the camp and I think the team is getting ready. New members have joined and there are of course difficult and unsuccessful parts, but I think the most important thing is how to fix them during the game. I want to fight tomorrow to win while showing my own color.
Q: How do you analyze the ease of playing without a fixed player combination in the double pivot position?
A, as it is a team sport, I believe it is important to communicate and coordinate with those around me. There are also moments where we play while observing the characteristics of our teammates and their movements, so I hope to have good communication and play positive soccer in tomorrow's practice match.
Q: Are there any challenges that have become apparent through repeated practice and practice matches, and do you feel confident in being able to address them?
One of the challenges we are facing is how to build up and move the ball forward. As coach Peter CKLAMOVSKI says, we are embodying the aggressive style of soccer where everyone is moving forward. However, both as an individual and as a team, I feel that the quality of our play in this aspect is a challenge, so I want to make sure we make proper adjustments. As for the strength of our defense, I believe that anyone who plays in the game is able to demonstrate it, so I hope we can build on our strengths and make adjustments to our weaknesses and have a good game.
