Interview with Takuya UCHIDA

Q, how do you feel about your return from injury and joining the camp so far?
A, there are many parts that are completely different from the soccer I've played before, and it feels like I have to use my head more than my body. Since I became the new coach, I think I need to adapt to that properly.

Q, where do you think is the most different part from before?
A, The coach demands a lot for each play, and there are quite a few points where plays that were considered good before are now considered bad, or where previous ideas are overturned. It requires using your head in those areas, and in order to respond to that, the technical skills must also be high. This time, with a change in coach, we have started doing things that we didn't do before, so I think it will be a new element for both myself and the team, and it will be a positive addition.

Q, which is greater for player Uchida, joy or anxiety?
A, is it half and half? There are many unknown parts because it's a soccer that I have never experienced before, but there is also the excitement of what will happen if it goes well. It will be a plus for myself to be able to play this soccer, and I am also looking forward to it.

Q, I was injured during the camp season two years ago, but this year I am able to play properly from the camp.
A, I couldn't participate from the beginning due to injury at that time, so I'm glad that I can participate in the camp from the beginning like this, and I want to strive with everyone.

Q, please tell us your goals for the Kunigami Camp.
A, I don't know which position to play, but it is important to clarify what I can and cannot do among them, to work on being able to do what I cannot do, and to achieve results in the game, and to respond to what the coach is demanding.
