INTERVIEW2022.2.04

Interview with player Kuryu Matsuki

Q: The camp is down to its last day. How do you look back on the camp?
Although it was quite difficult to join in the middle, I think both individually and as a team, we are gradually establishing the style of football that Coach Albert PUIG ORTONEDA aims for towards the opening.

Q: Were you able to smoothly blend into the team?
A, yes. The seniors were very kind and I was able to fit in quickly.

Q, it must have been reassuring to have teammates like Kajiura and Yasuda who were in the same year as you.
A, since they have been close friends for a long time and are in the same year, they were reliable.

Q: How do you feel about playing as a professional?
A, it is an environment where you compete for playing opportunities in constant competition, but I can't hesitate to do it myself, and my goal for this year is to "contribute the most to the team", so first of all, I want to focus on creating good conditions for that and work to be a positive influence on the team.

Q: Do you talk to your seniors about preparations for the opening?
A, I'm not specifically talking about that point. As a professional, I want to step onto the pitch as soon as possible and play football in front of the fans and supporters. I think that enjoying football is the new way of Tokyo, so I am working to contribute to that.

Q: How do you think about the challenges and responses you have been working on so far?
A, I feel the response. Personally, there are many parts that I haven't been able to do, but I think those are the parts that I can gradually do as I get used to it, and my playing speed is also gradually getting used to it, so I think I should play with confidence.
