Tokyo's fierce counterattack!

As soon as the second half began, as expected, Omiya's movements dropped sharply. It's no wonder, considering how intense their pressing was in the first half. On the other hand, Tokyo's energy increased. With Omiya's pressing weakening, Kabuki and Yukihiko were able to keep the ball up front, and a good rhythm of passing centered around Almir was revived. From the left side, Fujiyama confidently dribbled into the center, creating chances. Additionally, substitute Koike, who came on in the 15th minute of the second half, showed accurate distribution in the defensive midfield position, covering for Almir's forward movements and improving the overall rhythm. In defense, midfielder Shinjo aggressively marked Jorn, who had been tightly marked by Sandro since the first half, and prevented him from doing his job. With a rhythm established in both attack and defense, Tokyo repeatedly attacked Omiya's goal and created scoring opportunities.

Yoshihiko Mise and Furubei! Beautiful goal 2 times!!

In the second half, after 20 minutes, the balance was finally broken. Yukihiro, who received the ball from Almir in the center of the goal, turned forward with one touch, passed through the crotch of the opposing defender who came to take the ball with two touches, and scored a goal by passing by the goalkeeper with three touches. It was a beautiful goal unique to Yukihiro, born from a series of highly skilled techniques. The game continued to be dominated by Tokyo. Omiya, who had been playing compact soccer with a shallow defense line since the first half, became impatient with this goal and started attacking recklessly, causing their balance to collapse and leading to a counterattack by Tokyo. In the following 24 minutes of the second half, substitute Furukata scored a spectacular header in front of the goalkeeper, changing the course of the cross from Yukihiro from the right, and decided the game. This season, Furukata has only played about 10 minutes in official matches in the last two games, and even on this day, there were moments of confusion after being substituted, but as expected, the man who has played 80 official matches in the J-League came through in the crucial moment. In the 40th minute of the second half, Kaburaki broke through from a vertical pass from Almir and had a one-on-one situation with the goalkeeper. In the end, it didn't result in a goal, and Tokyo held on to win the game. They achieved their first three consecutive wins of the season.

Struggling with thorough pressing

Omiya on this day had studied Tokyo well. They kept the defense line shallow, pressed thoroughly from the front line to the midfield, and completely crushed Almir, who is the starting point of Tokyo's attack, to prevent them from creating a rhythm. They placed Ukai, who played for Tokyo Gas FC until last year, on the final line, and placed Edwin, who also played until two years ago, in the midfield, to ensure a perfect strategy against Tokyo. Tokyo could not connect the ball in the midfield and repeated a monotonous attack by simply kicking it forward. On the other hand, Omiya's counterattack was sharp after taking the ball by keeping the defense line shallow, and they sent early cross balls to the 190cm tall FW Yorun from both sides. Sandro, who is 184cm tall, marked Yorun closely, but there were dangerous situations where the ball was dropped and shot by Omiya's FW. However, this was something that coach Okuma had predicted before the game, and he instructed the players to focus on how to deal with losing the ball in a competition, so the players calmly responded. In the first half, the number of shots was also 4 to 8, and it was a difficult situation where Omiya was completely pushed, but the intense press of Omiya could not continue for so long, and the players endured calmly.
