【Player/Coach Comments】

The 2016 Meiji Yasuda J3 League has also started and today is the 4th match.

FC Tokyo U-23's home game, which took place at Ajinomoto Field Nishigaoka, was a very challenging start with three consecutive losses.
Tokyo, Enomoto as GK, Komano as DF, and Kajiyama as MF, continue from the previous match.
And, Robert has made his first appearance in the FW position this season, forming a two-top with Nakajima.
Furthermore, Nozawa will join as a center back and form a partnership with Okazaki.
Kataller Toyama, who faced them, has accumulated points and secured 7th place with 1 win, 2 draws, and no losses until Sec. 3.
The game kicked off at Tokyo Ball with the aim of achieving the first victory in pleasant weather.

【First Half】
The score moves from the early stages.
4 minutes into the game, as the opponent advances in the midfield, they quickly make a move and exploit the space behind the defensive line, allowing a through pass to be played.
Tokyo competes fiercely with the opponent FW, Yagi, but allows the first goal by being outmuscled.
In addition, in the 14th minute, the center was broken and a half-volley shot was taken, but Cabore's good defense prevented an additional point.
Tokyo, which gradually regained its composure from this time zone, began to dominate the ball with Kajiyama and Nakajima at the center.
Toyama, on the other hand, forms a compact block and looks for opportunities on the counterattack.
19 minutes, when Nakajima holds the ball in the opponent's central area, Hiraoka breaks through the gap between two opponent defenders and receives a through pass, advancing vertically on the right side.
Tasuku Hiraoka crosses the ball to the far side, but Hayashi jumps in and the goalkeeper catches the cross.
Tokyo, which has started to grasp the rhythm, creates opportunities from the right side with Hiraoka's characteristic speed, and from the left side, Komano, Insoo YU, and Yukino collaborate to break through.
However, I was able to carry the ball to the vital area, but I couldn't break through the tough block easily.
Toyama occasionally tries to build up, but the forward Hayashi does not let the press flow through.
Then, Hayashi continues to threaten the goal.
Yuichi KOMANO aimed for a header from Komano's cross at the 40th minute.
And at the 42nd minute, a early cross from the right side by Yanagi was received on the far side, and the shot from the one-touch was narrowly missed, shaking the left side net.
The team dominates the game but fails to score, ending the first half with a score of 0-1.

【Halftime】
Coach Yasuma's comment
"The defense needs to stop the opponent's speed. Let's continue creating opportunities. Let's enter the game with confidence."

【Second half】
Both teams proceeded to the second half without making any player substitutions.
Tokyo, which entered the game with an aggressive start similar to the first half, created an opportunity with Yanagi and Tasuku HIRAOKA on the right side immediately after the start and connected it to Kajiyama.
Kajiyama puts a low early cross into Nakajima in the center, Nakajima shoots to the right after a chest trap while carrying the opponent, but the goalkeeper saves it in front.
In addition, in the 47th minute, Komano takes a left corner kick to the far side. The ball then flows and Kajiyama picks it up.
DF clears the ball after connecting it to Nakajima and passing it to Hayashi on the far side. Nakajima picks up the loose ball and takes a powerful shot, but the opposing DF blocks it with their body.
When we can't seem to break through the goal, the momentum shifts to Toyama.
However, the Tokyo defense also maintained their concentration and in the 55th minute, although they were attacked from the right side, Nozawa covered it with his body.
Intense offensive and defensive battles continue in the middle of the ongoing power struggle.
Tokyo substitutes Insoo YU for Yamada.
Place Nozawa in the defensive midfield position and move Yukino to the left side to add variation to the attack and aim for a goal.
Okazaki desperately blocked the scene that could have been a close call in the 65th minute and prevented an additional point.
In the 77th minute, they had regained control and took a free kick from the center-right position just outside the goal, about 20 meters away.
Allowing a goal directly to the left Smith and giving away an additional point.
Tokyo tried to counterattack by substituting Sasaki and Matsuoka, but conceded a goal in the 84th minute from a free kick from the left side that was converted on the far side.
Despite attacking aggressively to score until the end, they were unable to break through Toyama's solid defense and suffered a 0-3 defeat.

Thank you very much for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-23.
Thank you for your continued warm support.

【Coach Yasuma's Press Conference Summary】
"After the Akita match, we gave the attacking side tasks such as pushing the opponent deep and then delivering the final cross, and trying to improve the quality of shooting. I think it was good that we were able to see many attitudes such as Lin's header shot and Hiraoka's cross from dribbling throughout the 90 minutes. However, it is important to improve the quality even more and communicate what we are able to do and what we are not able to do, and support FC Tokyo."
In terms of defense, the opponent had a player named Kaiguchi who is fast. We watched the video beforehand to confirm the individual strength of the players, especially since Yoshimoto was not playing in this match. However, we couldn't keep up with their play in the beginning and ended up being defeated. However, as the game progressed, I think it was significant that we were able to physically confront their speed throughout the 90 minutes.
There were many parts of growth during such matches, which is good, but I want to convey the importance of accepting the fact that we have lost four consecutive games and prepare for the next match for a week.
Overall, it was good that we didn't concede consecutive goals from 0-1. Until the 77th minute when we conceded from a free kick, we were able to continue attacking from the sides or the center while maintaining possession of the ball and controlling the game. I think we have become better at dealing with situations like the game where we conceded consecutive goals in Sec. 2."

【Player Comment】
《Nakajima》
"As an individual, I was conscious of increasing chances while using my teammates. I want to not only create the game but also receive the ball and move it forward, so that I can enter the goal area again. (Do you think the team is heading in a positive direction as we play more games?) I think we are, but there is a reason for losing, and we need to seriously confront our own challenges and shortcomings. First of all, we must not concede a goal, so I want to work on it firmly."
