Under the guidance of Manager Shinoda, the first match to be held at home
Sec. 7 of the 2nd stage is being held. Júbilo Iwata will be welcomed and confronted at home.
The previous match, which was the first match for "Shinoda Tokyo", saw Higashi score the first goal of the season and win against Niigata. There were also some challenges, but with the hard work and strong determination of everyone, as well as maintaining aggressiveness, they were able to secure 3 points and demonstrate an attitude of "change".
However, the coach and players all agreed that they have only won one game so far, and they need to further improve the quality of their offense and defense based on the previous game in order to continue their winning streak. Coach Shinoda also said, "Especially when playing at home, at Ajinomoto Stadium, we want to show our attitude, dedication, and dynamic play to the many people who come to support us."
In place of the injured Hashimoto, Tanabe will start in the defensive midfield position this match. Additionally, Nozawa will make his first appearance on the bench this season as a substitute.
Iwata's 2nd stage against is currently 4 draws and 2 losses, still without a victory. In the previous match against Kashiwa, they took the lead but their energy decreased in the second half, resulting in a comeback defeat. However, they have had very few consecutive losses so far, only suffering 2 consecutive losses in the 1st stage. Although FW Jay is absent for this match, FW Morishima and DF Fujita will start, and there should be a desire for fresh players to change the flow of the game. The formation is a 3-5-2 with FW Morishima and MF Adailton as the top two. MF Kobayashi plays as an attacking midfielder. MF Ota is on the right wing, and MF Miyazaki is on the left. MF Yamamoto and Kawabe form a double pivot in midfield.
Iwata, which is known for its aggressive pressing from the front line, aims for victory by surpassing it in terms of physicality and fighting spirit. The match started with Iwata's kickoff at 19:04, amidst the continuing intense heat.
磐田に主導権を握られ、早い時間帯にビハインドを背負う
Iwata dominated the ball from the beginning and took control of the pace.
2 minutes: FW Tsukasa MORISHIMA shoots from the right area following a FK.
3 minutes: Adailton heads the ball from MF Miyazaki's left cross.
7 minutes: Iwata's right side MF Kobayashi crossed to MF Adailton, and FW Morishima took a shot. Taking advantage of the fluidity of MF Adailton and MF Kobayashi, they launched a powerful attack.
8 minutes: The pass on the right front line was taken by Iwata DF, and from here it was connected directly and the side was changed, and the right wide MF Ota advanced with a dribble. He aimed for a shot from the right area corner. Maruyama blocked it, but the loose ball was picked up by DF Fujita who overlapped on the right front line and crossed it. FW Morishima scored a high heading from behind by Tokunaga... We conceded the first goal in the early stages, 0-1.
Without looking down, Tokyo gradually grasps the rhythm of counterattack, utilizing Muriqui's speed.
18 minutes: Tokunaga → Higashi breaks through the right front line and crosses. Muriqui jumps in with a header and takes the first shot of the day. Then, Muriqui charges forward after passing with Tanabe and Ogawa on the left side, trying to surpass the opponent's defender.
25 minutes: Muriqui enters the area from a one-two with Ogawa and earns a corner kick.
27 minutes: Maeda receives Akimoto's kick in the front line and passes it to Muriqui on the left from the east. Muriqui uses his speed to make a move inside the area and is fouled, earning a penalty kick. Muriqui himself kicks it into the bottom right corner, but a Tokyo player enters the area first, resulting in a "retake" decision.
29 minutes: Muriqui kicks the ball into the goal again, in the exact same direction as the first penalty kick, making it 1-1.
33 minutes: With the equalizing goal, the momentum builds up and Maeda aims for the space behind the defense from Tokunaga's pass on the right side. Furthermore, Tokunaga sends a short pass behind the opponent, and Higashi breaks free into the right area and boldly attempts a shot... but without an angle, it is saved by the goalkeeper, resulting in a corner kick.
35 minutes: Takahashi from our team sends a long feed to the front line. Kawano jumps out and tries to loop the ball despite colliding with the opponent's defender... but the Iwata goalkeeper flies out and the ball goes just left of the unguarded goal.
39 minutes: Muriqui breaks through the opponent's defense and delivers a minus last pass from the left area. He created a decisive opportunity, but Kawano's direct shot went wide... Despite the coordination of the front line, Kawano and others were unable to score an additional goal, and the first half ended in a tie.
Muriqui scored 2 goals, Insoo's first J1 goal became the winning goal, and it was a dramatic victory!
In the second half, both teams aim to take the lead, and the early stages are filled with frantic attacks and defenses.
52 minutes: Iwata's attack was suppressed and I managed to get the ball once, but Ogawa was pressed by Iwata FW Morishima when he tried to bring it out, and I lost the ball again. Iwata's right forward MF Ota moved back and MF Kobayashi near the right area corner brought it in one step and swung his left foot. The shot without rotation grazed the far post and bounced back inside... allowing a goal. We conceded a splendid goal and lost the second goal, 1-2.
59 minutes: Allowed a goal from a mistake, but Iwata regained possession and Muriqui launched a counterattack. He was about to be closed down in the center of the front line, but he quickly dropped the ball back and Maeda took a controlled shot with one step, only to be blocked by Iwata's goalkeeper with one hand.
67 minutes: Nozawa is substituted. In the immediate 70th minute, Kono on the right side dribbles and passes to Tokunaga who ran up after Tanabe on the right side. Tokunaga crosses and Higashi in the center heads the ball. Muriqui runs in and skillfully changes the course with the outside of his right foot, redirecting it into the far corner of the goal. With this, it's now 2-2.
The introduction of Nozawa brought stability to the team and increased opportunities for passes to the front line.
73 minutes: Muriqui, who entered the center of the area, passed to the free Maeda who took a decisive shot... but it slightly curved to the left. As the mood of the stand's comeback increased, the bench also showed determination for victory.
76 minutes: Insoo YU, who made his first appearance in J1, was sent onto the pitch.
81 minutes: As Iwata's energy began to decline, Tokyo increased their speed and momentum. Muriqui moved from the left front line to the inside and attempted a powerful shot, but was blocked by Iwata's defense.
89 minutes: From Tanabe's through pass, Muriqui breaks through the front line and becomes one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but it is judged offside. Nevertheless, without giving up, in the 90th minute, he picks up the opponent's clearance and connects a pass from the left side to Muriqui in the front line. Muriqui charges forward and the opponent's goalkeeper also comes out and slides. This is judged as a foul outside the penalty area and a free kick is awarded.
90 minutes + 1: East aims directly at the goal from outside the left area corner with a powerful shot, but it is deflected by the goalkeeper. However, Maeda in the far side heads it down, Tanabe rushes into the goal area, and Insoo in the center reacts to the loose ball that hit the opponent. He pushes it in with his chest and scores a goal.
3-2.
In the end, we switched to a 4-4-2 formation and closed the game tightly, and the time was up. Insoo YU, who made his first appearance in J1, marked his first goal with great enthusiasm, and we achieved a dramatic comeback victory and continued our winning streak.
[Player Comments]
"Insoo"
"I remembered what I have been working on in J3 and decided to believe in myself and fight. It was great to be able to show today that I have the desire to succeed in J1."
If you believe in your teammates and trust that there are good players on the team, you can score goals. The goal may have been a bit lucky, but I also thought that it might come to me. This is the first time in my soccer career that I have played under such a great cheer. I am very happy to be called "Insoo!" from the stands. While savoring this happiness, I want to continue to do my best so that I can keep going.
"Nozawa"
"I was able to play calmly. The opponent had a slight advantage in pace, so I was thinking of spreading the ball easily and pulling the rhythm towards ourselves. I was watching from the bench since the first half, and I was conscious of where the opponent had space, where to move to avoid pressure, etc. However, I entered the game when the opponent's pressure had decreased. In the future, even when playing in the tough pressure of J1, if I can play like today, I think it will lead to a sense of accomplishment and confidence."
[Summary of Coach Yoshiyuki SHINODA's Press Conference]
"I don't think the way we started the game was bad, but we conceded the first goal and even after equalizing, we conceded again due to mistakes. In terms of the flow of the game, we are still inexperienced. However, I truly appreciate the efforts of the players who fought hard to catch up and make the game their own. Even in difficult situations, the fans and supporters actively supported us. We have also identified many areas where we need to improve, so today we are happy and from tomorrow, we will prepare for the next game."
(Regarding the intention of substituting Nozawa and Insoo)
One reason was to move the ball smoothly. Takahashi had received a warning, so we also considered the next move and made the substitution. With Nozawa coming on, the team was able to settle down and show a good performance by making good passes. As for Insoo, his inclusion increased the team's output. Tanabe also ran well, using Nozawa as a starting point, and Insoo was able to create space by pushing the opponent's line down. Both of them have shown good performances in their daily practice, and we felt their attitude even in J3, so we decided to use them boldly."
[Iwata - Coach Hiroshi NANAMI's Press Conference Summary]
"Very disappointing. It was definitely a game we should have won, but we lost 3 points and suffered our first consecutive loss in the 2nd half. It was a waste to lose with a comeback defeat in two consecutive games. We made changes and took action ourselves, and it was very good until about 15 minutes into the first half. After that time, we allowed the opponents to create a numerical advantage on our left side, and from there, they made side changes and Muriqui had more one-on-one scenes. Our slide defense with 3 backs was weak, and we didn't take care of the blind side. We switched to a 4-back formation at the start of the second half, isolated Muriqui on the side, and scored a go-ahead goal. It was a flow where we could have won the game or at least gained 1 point, but some players became overconfident from there. There were several situations where we had a numerical advantage and could break down the opponent, but we ended up shooting ourselves before breaking through, or we tried difficult things like floating one-twos with loose balls in the midfield. It led to conceding goals from those situations. I think it was a very wasteful game. For us, who are always aware of the battle for survival, the points we should have gained today were important. We couldn't achieve that, and our minds haven't switched yet."
