【Player/Coach Comments】
Fighting for the third consecutive home win, 2016 Meiji Yasuda J3 League Sec. 27.
AJINOMOTO FIELD NISHIGAOKA will face S.C.Sagamihara, who lost the opening match 0-1.
Tokyo wants to show its growth from the opening game until now.
The DF line consists of right SB Yanagi, center Okazaki and Koyama, and left Ogawa.
Double volante of Nozawa and Suzuki. Insoo YU in a formation close to a two-top with Hayashi in the front line. Tasuku Hiraoka on the right, and Keiji on the left.
In addition, Hirakawa from FC Tokyo U-18 has made his first appearance on the bench.
Sagamihara, in the team lineup, is 3-5-2, but both wide MF Makoto Fukoin and MF Hosaki take care of the spaces tightly, forming a formation close to 5-back.
FW Inoue, MF Iwabuchi, MF Sogabe form a fluid 3-4-3 formation in the front line. GK Kawaguchi, a former Japanese national team player with extensive experience, holds the key.
The game started despite the chilly temperature of 15.4℃ under cloudy skies.
【First Half】
In the early stages, it was Sagamihara who took the lead in the game, but Tokyo calmly defended against the opponent's attacks.
As time passes, we push back the situation with long balls from the defensive line to the opponent's territory and grasp the rhythm with aggressive pressing from the front line.
14 minutes, Insoo YU presses the front line and steals the loose ball.
Yoshiatsu OIJI attempts a side breakthrough, and although he is surrounded by two opposing defenders, he tenaciously recovers the ball and makes it his own.
Cutting inside while avoiding the opposing defender, Hiraoka attracts the attention of the defense and delivers a final pass to the center. However, Hiraoka's direct shot goes over the bar.
The 26th and 28th minutes saw continuous goal threats from set plays.
26 minutes, Lin scored from the left corner kick taken by Insoo YU, but the defending DF cleared it.
In the following 28th minute, Hiraoka aims for a left corner kick clearance ball but fails to hit the target.
S.C.Sagamihara was startled in the 32nd minute when a free kick from the left side of the Tokyo team's field was sent in, but missed the touch and the shot went wide of the goal.
In the 36th minute, the DF clears the FK from the right side, but the ball is immediately picked up just in front of the area.
This shot was timed well, but it was deflected and the sharp shot was saved by the goalkeeper.
It will be an open game with a focus on counterattacks, and the 41st minute.
On the left side, connect with Nozawa from Ogawa and expand to the opposite side. Yagi, who received this, was unable to break through, but securely connected to the ground and from the cut-in, delivered a soft cross to Hiraoka.
Hiraoka heads it down and Suzuki shoots a middle from just outside the area, but it goes over the bar.
The biggest chance of the first half is additional time.
45+1 minute, Nozawa overlaps to the right and YANAGI crosses. The ball goes through the crowded area and reaches Insoo YU in front of the goal.
Insoo YU controlled the ball with one touch, evaded the opponent, and took a shot from close range, but it hit the crossbar. No goal.
After missing this chance, Tokyo tries to attack the left side but loses the ball and receives a short counterattack.
The floating ball towards the front line is cleared by Okazaki, but when Sagamihara picks it up, it is spread out into the vacant space on the right side.
Conceded a goal calmly. Shortly after, the first half ended and we turned around behind.
【Halftime】
Coach Nakamura's comment
"Let's continue with the aggressive play."
Let's try to win the ball in the contested situations as it is evenly balanced in terms of loose balls.
Let's work hard together and make good use of the sides.
【Second half】
Tokyo launches a fierce attack in the second half without making any substitutions for both teams.
Create chances from intricate passing plays as the intense battle for ball possession continues between both teams in the opening stages.
58 minutes, Suzuki from the center passes a fast ball through the opponent's defense line to the left forward position.
Kogawa, who attacked the area at the right time, put a negative cross into the area and Hayashi jumped in, but Sagamihara DF blocked it with their body.
Tokyo missed a scoring chance, but took control after a player substitution.
61 minutes, Hirakawa is substituted for Hiraoka.
Hirakawa made his J3 debut at the age of 16 years, 6 months, and 10 days, breaking the record for the youngest appearance held by C Osaka U-23 MF Hiroto Yamada, who made his debut at the age of 16 years, 7 months, and 15 days.
Tokyo switched to a 3-5-2 system, with Hirakawa partnering with Suzuki in a double pivot, and Nozawa playing as the left center back. Ogawa moved to left wing back, while Yanagi played as the right wing back. Namae was positioned in the center, with Hayashi and Insoo YU leading the front line.
In the 64th minute, Okazaki connected with Yanagi for an early cross into the box. The ball sailed over the Sagamihara defenders and found Hayashi in the area, who calmly slotted it in for the equalizer.
Tokyo, which is increasing its offensive pressure, earned a right corner kick in the 73rd minute due to the persistence of Ikichi. Ogawa headed the ball towards the near post, and Okazaki jumped in to score with a header from an angleless position, resulting in a comeback.
In the 78th minute, when the ball was played from Yanagi to Ogawa, they surprised the opponent by quickly crossing the ball into the penalty area, and Hayashi scored with a header, shaking the net and making it 3-1.
In the 87th minute, Oyama was replaced by Kobayashi, and Suzuki was moved to the DF line, forming a double pivot with Kobayashi and Hirakawa.
Then in the 90+2 minute, Kobayashi intercepted a loose ball from the opponent's free kick, and Hirakawa picked it up.
In response to this, Hirakawa sends a long ball to Hayashi who has run out to the back. Sagamihara's GK also comes out, but Hayashi controls it first, calmly scoring and achieving a hat-trick.
The game ended as it is, with a come-from-behind victory of 4-1.
Thank you very much for your passionate support for FC Tokyo U-23.
Thank you for your continued warm support.
[Summary and Comments from Manager Nakamura's Press Conference]
"I would like to express my gratitude to all the fans and supporters who came despite the cold weather."
We had a discussion about being aggressive from the start of the match, but the opponents defended well and we couldn't break through. Our movements towards the back were fewer compared to the top team.
After taking the ball, we lost it easily many times and couldn't take the initiative. In the game where neither side could gain an advantage, we had 2 chances in the 2nd and 3rd rounds, but couldn't convert them and ended up conceding first.
I told the players to stay positive as it's not a bad game at halftime.
Take more behind, run more than the opponent. Improve judgment on connecting the ball securely after stealing it.
Since we were losing, we confirmed the plays and positions towards the goal and approached the second half.
We were able to create good attacks and score 4 goals because they made good use of the center and the wings from the first half.
【Player Comment】
《Ogawa》
"I think it was good that in the second half, everyone was able to move aggressively compared to the first half, which resulted in a positive outcome."
(About your own play?) In the first half, I had a hard time controlling the ball and lost it many times, but in the second half, I was able to push forward more and in the end, I was able to assist, so it was good.
(We made player substitutions and system changes, but) we switched to a three-back formation, which allowed me and Player Yanagi to be more proactive and push forward. So, I focused on making runs behind the opponent's defense.
(What is your enthusiasm for the next match?) Anyway, in J3, we want to go for a win together, so first, we aim for 3 points and want to do our best."
