"Tokyo U-23 Tetsu NAGASAWA Coach Press Conference Summary"
"On the same day, at the same time, the top team had a match at Ajinomoto Stadium, but despite that, I would like to express my gratitude here for the fans and supporters who came to today's match. As for the game itself, overall, it was a bit immature. Since it is a young U-23 team, I want to use this as a stepping stone to grow the team. I think it became a game that we must keep in mind."
It was a scene of conceding a goal at the beginning, but that heading shot from the opponent was amazing. However, we also had a solid number of players, so the part where we were attacked with a header was because the opponent was a professional who had their livelihood at stake, not a high school student. There was a discrepancy in strength in that part.
In the second half, we made adjustments and had some decisive chances, but if we can't score goals, there is always the possibility of the opposite happening. This is a golden rule that anyone who knows soccer understands from experience. Whether we can play with that understanding is another matter, and during that time, we almost ended up in a 1-1 situation due to some easy mistakes in the midfield, including just before we were scored against. Arthur SILVA stopped it for us, but overall, our decision-making became a bit naive in the midst of the chaos. Overall, it feels like we were a bit deceived by Kitakyushu's highly organized soccer, but we still have room to grow as a team, and our goal is to see how many players can succeed in the top team. So, we want to approach this as a learning experience."
