【Player/Coach Comments】
"Joan OUMARI"
"I am happy that I was able to score a goal and win. I was able to finish the final match of the 2020 J1 League with a victory."
"Also, I think it became a match that leads to the important final round of the Levain Cup, which is scheduled for the beginning of the year."
(It was a great performance throughout the 90 minutes)
"I think the two matches we played (against Hiroshima and Kobe) after returning from the ACL as a team were fantastic, not just in terms of my own performance."
ACL was a really tough schedule, but I felt that we need to level up as a team.
I think that frustration led to these two matches, and I want to continue this momentum until the Levain Cup final round."
(Scored a goal against my former team Kobe)
"I didn't get many opportunities to play as a player in Kobe, and I had a difficult time."
I am very happy to be able to score against such opponents.
Now, I am a player in Tokyo.
"I always strive to play for the victory of Tokyo and give my all for this team."
"Yojiro TAKAHAGI"
(I watched the game from the bench in the first half and changed the flow when I entered the pitch. How I was thinking and playing)
"In the first half, Hotaru YAMAGUCHI was playing freely and it seemed difficult to defend against him. When I came on, I tried to erase that and consciously played to create opportunities in attack when we won the ball, focusing on receiving the ball between Nagai and the midfield players."
I was able to bring out the ball, but I couldn't do the decisive work, so I want to be able to connect it to that next.
(Now that the league season is over, I want to express my honest feelings)
"It was a frustrating season.
Last season, we reached second place and started this season aiming for the championship. However, we ended up in 6th place, which was disappointing.
(Impressions on ending today's match with a victory)
"It's good that we were able to win, but I am by no means satisfied. The opponent did not have any foreign players, and I do not think that this performance and result will lead to the next season. I want to further improve and welcome the next season."
(How do you want to fight for the Levain Cup final?)
"I just want to win. I don't think the content matters, so I want to focus only on winning the championship. I want to play with the team and only think about winning."
《Keigo HIGASHI Player》
"As an individual, I was away from the team for about 4 months due to injury and was unable to participate in most of the league matches."
Although I was able to return in the ACL, I was unable to achieve the team's goal and returned home.
I had a really frustrating experience, but I was able to win the matches against Hiroshima and Kobe after coming back.
I think today's home final match was a step towards the Levain Cup final on January 4th.
(I think today's victory was won by the entire team)
"I think this season was especially like that."
Including young players, almost everyone has had the opportunity to participate, and we were able to win the last two matches against Hiroshima and Kobe in a total team effort.
I think we can raise the bottom, so it's positive and I think it will lead to next season."
(The content of the game has improved significantly, but)
"The content has improved since the ACL."
We were able to win the previous match against Hiroshima and today's match against Kobe, but despite having a good game streak, we couldn't win in the ACL.
A world where you won't be evaluated if you can't win even if you play a good game.
We have experienced that it is meaningless if we do not win, so we want to show a more determined attitude towards winning.
"Tokyo - Summary of Coach Kenta HASEGAWA's Press Conference"
"I'm glad we were able to win."
Many fans and supporters have gathered and I am sincerely grateful.
Today, we were able to respond to the feelings of the fans and supporters with a victory.
I think the players showed their feelings for this match in the final home game.
I was wondering what kind of members Kobe would come with after ACL, but the members who came out in Qatar came out, and it was a really wonderful team. It is gratifying to have won against such opponents and finished.
Although we couldn't reach our goal of winning, we want to work together as a team and strive to raise the trophy next season. Let's do our best together."
(How do you see the result of finishing 6th in a tough year schedule-wise, including the ACL?)
"I think we were close to reaching the ACL qualification. This is due to my lack of ability."
"The players have worked hard during the 19 consecutive matches and grueling schedule."
(When was the toughest time this season?)
"In August, when Kento HASHIMOTO and Sei MUROYA were absent, we had to rebuild the team and it was difficult to find the right direction. We couldn't play good games during that time."
It was difficult as there were many players who played in the game for the first time while establishing a solid direction.
I think the players did their best and among the three teams that participated in the ACL, they achieved good results in the league matches. However, finishing in 6th place doesn't leave anything behind.
I don't think it's a commendable performance because we couldn't secure the right to participate in the ACL next season and missed out on the championship.
Even without Hashimoto and Muroya, there are many other excellent players, so if we can use them more effectively, I think we could have achieved better results.
I am happy that we were able to overcome consecutive matches, and everyone, including the staff, worked hard. We saw the growth of the players, and although it was a frustrating season, we have had many fulfilling matches towards the end, so I am pleased with that.
(The talk was about strengthening the team for the upcoming season, but where do we want to reinforce?)
"I think we won't be able to reach the championship unless we increase our goal scoring a little more."
In the first half of the season, we were able to score at a good pace, but in the second half, there were fewer games where we could score multiple goals. I think it will be necessary to further increase our scoring ability in the next season.
We have come a long way, so we just have to continue to keep going and finish strong.
"Kobe - Atsuhiro MIURA Coach Press Conference Summary"
"As it was the final match of this season, naturally I was fully focused and in the first half, we were able to play the kind of football we wanted."
In the second half, the number of ball losses increased after a little while of having possession, and there were also signs of fatigue. However, there were too many unnecessary losses.
I regret that it has become an open development.
However, I think that we have definitely built up something this season, so while further improving, I hope to firmly correct the areas that need improvement."
(Regarding the fact that we were able to play the game properly with the application of the Athlete Track upon returning from the ACL)
"We would like to express our gratitude to the country for allowing us to play the game using the Athlete Track and for being able to compete in the final match."
Including the ACL period, we have been managing the players and team staff by conducting PCR tests throughout this season, and I am very grateful that we are able to play matches like this.
(ACL achieved results, but couldn't maintain stable performance in the league. How do you want to improve for the next season?)
"There is definitely progress in terms of raising the team's level."
Of course, because it is a competition, it becomes an excuse if we don't win, but we are aiming to be a team that can win no matter who plays.
Although there were no results, I think it was clear in terms of each player's approach, their strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement. I hope that we can become a team that can achieve good results for the next season.
