About Kodaira City Board of Education Members
The Board of Education is an executive body established by the "Law on the Organization and Operation of Local Education Administration" and is composed of the Superintendent of Education and four members.
Education committee members are appointed by the mayor with the consent of the city council from among those who have insight into education, academia, and culture.
As the main duties, we will discuss and decide on the basic policies and important matters of educational administration.

I have been appointed as a member of the KODAIRA City Board of Education.
I felt extremely honored when I first received the offer. However, I also had concerns about whether I was capable of fulfilling the role. Among those, the biggest reason for accepting the offer was my desire to contribute to the city of Odaira. I have been appointed by the city council and today, I am participating in the appointment ceremony with a renewed sense of determination.
I want to convey firmly what I thought would be beneficial for the children and the city of Kodaira, based on my experiences in sports, J-League, and FC Tokyo, as well as my education at elementary and junior high schools in Kodaira.
There is also data showing that children's physical abilities have declined due to the COVID-19 pandemic, so we will make sincere efforts to help children enjoy physical activity.
