Report on the Implementation of the "NO PLANET, NO TOKYO" Food Drive and Book Drive

As an initiative outside of match days for "NO PLANET, NO TOKYO," we carried out this project with the sponsorship and cooperation of Okaya Steel Works, Ltd.

We set up a dedicated collection box at Okaya Steel Works, Ltd.'s Tokyo head office and, with the cooperation of the employees, conducted a food drive and book drive aimed at reducing "loss" such as leftover food and unread books from households.

We were able to collect a total of four cardboard boxes filled with food and books.
At the match venue for the Avispa Fukuoka game on Tuesday, September 23 (public holiday), the items collected at the booth targeting fans and supporters were donated to local food banks and welfare workshops.

Thank you for your cooperation.

□ Impressions from Okaya Steel Works Co., Ltd. through this initiative
Q. What prompted you to support the food and book drive initiative?
A. I participated because I felt it was easy to engage in volunteer activities within the company. When thinking about joining something on my own, the hurdle feels high, but within the company, I felt I could casually give it a try, which was a big factor. I had always wanted to put picture books gathering dust at home to good use for someone, so this was a great opportunity.

Q. Were there any memorable episodes or reactions from participants through this initiative?
A. The donated books covered various genres, and it was fun to think about who might have brought them. Books were especially easy for anyone to participate with, and it was great that I was able to take the action of donating just one book myself.

Q. Through this initiative, what kind of social contribution do you feel your company was able to make?
A. I believe it was significant to be able to experience social contribution through books and food items that were just sitting unused at home. I also think it served as an opportunity for volunteer activities to feel more familiar within the company. I hope we were able to contribute even a little to community activities in Tokyo.

Q. What aspects did you find appealing about the collaboration with FC Tokyo?
A. Since we were collaborating with FC Tokyo, we felt we had to respond properly and got really motivated. They provided us with dedicated boxes, which looked cool and wonderful. Thank you very much! Because it was a collaborative project with FC Tokyo, it attracted more interest within our company than our usual activities.
