[U-18] Germany Expedition Report Day 4

Today, it has been occasionally drizzling with cloudy skies since morning.
In the morning, the players visited the arena (stadium) of Schalke 04, where Japanese national team player Uchida is a member, and the players who witnessed the facilities of the Bundesliga big club seemed to have their dreams of the world expand once again.

Move from Schalke Arena to Dortmund training ground by bus, which takes about 1 hour.
The second match of the Germany expedition, VS Dortmund U-19, will kick off at 18:00 local time. (Today's match will be 40 minutes per half)
Unlike yesterday's Leverkusen match, we are struggling with Dortmund's build-up from the defensive line and the midfield position changes, and we are unable to narrow down the points to steal the ball.
◈And then, in the 2nd minute of the start, the ball was easily carried in front of the goal and we conceded a goal. After that, for a while, we couldn't grasp our own pace, but around the 10th minute, we gradually began to grasp the flow. With effective ball interceptions by understanding the source of the opponent's ball, we created numerous scoring opportunities with quick attacks centered around Kenta OKUMA, Ryo SATO, and Yoshiatsu OIJI as forwards, but we couldn't break through the opponent's defense, which was resilient and committed to defending, and the first half ended without being able to score a goal.

The second half continued in a similar manner, but in the 62nd minute, a counterattack resulted in the opponent taking advantage of the space behind the defense line. Despite desperately defending in front of the goal, they were overwhelmed by the opponent's power and conceded an own goal, resulting in a two-goal difference.
Daisuke HOSHI, who came on as a substitute in the 70th minute, closes in on a one-goal difference by stealing the ball from the opponent's goalkeeper with a powerful press from the front line.
Tokyo, riding on momentum, continues to relentlessly attack the opponent's goal but fails to score.
At the end of the game, it seemed like Hanaya scored a goal with a sliding shot after Aihara Katsuya's right-side breakthrough and cross, but it was ruled offside.
The game ended with a score of 1-2.

We were confident in being able to play our own soccer against stronger and older opponents, but on the other hand, we lacked the power and intensity in front of the goal.
There is still some weakness in terms of not missing opportunities, just like yesterday, and I have learned a lot from these two matches.
I want to gradually accumulate such experiences and aim for further improvement both as a team and as an individual.

FW Kenta OKUMA's comment
"Dortmund is physically strong and has the technique to connect with the ball at their feet, and all their speed was fast."
MF Shuto ABE's comment
"The possession was very good and there were many things to learn. Personally, I want to improve the final quality."
