The 8th day of the expedition started with the morning assembly at the police academy.
I have breakfast with croissants and coffee in the dormitory and say goodbye to the city of Sanse.
The first destination is Clairefontaine, which takes 2 hours by bus from Sans.
The large facility deep in the forest is a facility similar to J-VILLAGE in Fukushima, Japan.
I was introduced to the facilities by the guide.
This facility was completed in 1988 and won the World Cup ten years later.
This is a commemorative monument.
And the first thing that was introduced was the pitch mainly used by the representative of the subcategory.
There is artificial turf laid under the natural turf, which seems to reduce the burden on the players.
There is also a device that generates heat between natural grass and artificial turf, and facilities are equipped to always maintain the turf in good condition.
Within Clairefontaine, there are 9 pitches, mainly used by players from what is known as the JFA Academy in Japan.
There are 7 accommodation facilities for that purpose. It seems that the quality of the accommodation facilities improves as the category increases.
There are also places where the gate of a 13th-century temple remains as it is inside the facility.
We also visited the accommodation facility that was renovated from an 18th-century castle used by the A national team.
The national team uses it for about a total of 5 weeks per year.
During that period, games are set up so that players and coaches can engage in activities without stress, and the locker room is equipped with lockable boxes.
There are spike drying machines, spike stretching tools, and training facilities available.
We also visited medical facilities.
There are two doctors on duty, and X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans can also be taken.
The equipment includes machines that correct running form and environments such as rehabilitation pools, creating a very fulfilling environment.
Next, we headed to the home stadium of Paris Saint-Germain.
Stop by the merchandise shop and then head to the French Football Association.
There, the manager gave me the World Cup (championship cup).
And visit the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
During the journey, there were unique experiences that can only be encountered overseas, such as encountering a demonstration parade, and finally reaching the Arc de Triomphe.
It was truly impressive, perhaps due to the commemorative ceremony that was held.
The radial roads extending from the center of the circle were very beautiful, especially the Champs-Élysées.
Say goodbye to Mr. Oguri from Paris Saint-Germain, who accompanied me from Charles de Gaulle Airport to the interpreter this time.
Thank you for your support in all aspects during this expedition, and for fighting as a member of the team in the match.
The feeling of Mr. Oguri, who continues to work hard alone in France without any Japanese people around.
Furthermore, in order to respond to the feelings of the various people who have taken care of us during this expedition, both the players and the staff will work hard with determination.
