[Update] Announcement of collaboration with the anime "One Piece Episode of Skypiea" for the Yokohama FM match on July 22 (Sun)

FC Tokyo is pleased to announce that a promotion in collaboration with the anime "One Piece Episode of Skypiea" has been decided for the match against Yokohama F.Marinos in the 17th round of the 2018 Meiji Yasuda J1 League, which will be broadcasted on Saturday Premium on August 25th. As July 22nd, the first home game date for FC Tokyo after the resumption of the J1 League, has been designated as "One Piece Day", we will implement this collaboration to liven up this day together.

[Updated: 7/19 (Thu)] Chopper's greeting time, in commemoration of "One Piece Day"! Added information about the ○× quiz related to the "Straw Hat Pirates".

[Updated: 7/20 (Fri)] The time for the support message from Luffy to be broadcasted on the day of the match has been decided!

On the day of the match, we will broadcast a support message from the protagonist, Luffy, on the large screen! Don't miss it!

At the Ajinomoto Stadium South Plaza "Dai Aka Yokochō" (Food Court), on July 22nd, in commemoration of "One Piece Day," we will be holding a ○× quiz related to One Piece for children in junior high school and below. Please join us!

About the anime "One Piece"

The original work is a boys' manga by Eiichiro Oda, which is currently being serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump. Since its serialization began in 1997, it quickly gained popularity and the TV anime adaptation started in 1999. On August 25th (Sat) from 21:00, the highly anticipated adventure "One Piece Episode of Skypiea" will be broadcasted on Saturday Premium! This "Episode of Series," which will be broadcasted separately from the regular anime series, will be passionately delivered to fans this summer!

Monkey D. Luffy, a boy aiming to become the Pirate King, continued his journey with his new crew members Zoro, Nami, Usopp, Sanji, Chopper, and Nico Robin. One day, a giant ship fell from the sky and narrowly missed hitting them. To their surprise, a map with the words "Skypiea" arrived on the wind. It was a map to the sky island called "Skypiea." However, suddenly the sky began to cloud over and the shadow of a giant appeared...

The serialization of "One Piece" began on July 22, 1997, and in 2017, the 20th anniversary of the serialization, it was designated as "One Piece Day" by the Japan Anniversary Association.
