The "FC Tokyo Winter Cup 2024 supported by Sieg Corporation" was held over two days on December 27 and 28!

Five 6th grade teams from the FC Tokyo Soccer and Futsal School and 19 youth teams and club teams active in Tokyo gathered at the Tokyo Gas Fukagawa Ground to hold a two-day tournament.

For these two days, students from the same school venue who usually train together, as well as students from other venues, played matches as teammates against various teams.

At first, it was a quiet start, perhaps due to nerves, but as we spent more time together and played more matches, a sense of camaraderie developed, and the tension eased, allowing us to increasingly showcase our daily achievements.

After the goal, there were many scenes that looked like the goal scenes of FC Tokyo's top team, with players embracing each other and smiling while giving high-fives.

I strongly felt that someday the students from the school will score a goal on the J-League stage and embrace each other on the pitch at Ajinomoto Stadium.

Youth teams and club teams active in Tokyo were able to see many intense matches against teams that usually do not have the opportunity to compete with each other.

Many participants have been here for 6 years, so there are those for whom this will be the last tournament, but I hope this tournament will be a good memory and that they will continue to thrive in the next stage.

I look forward to the day when the opponents in this tournament can become friends and play soccer together!
