5/8 Tosu Match Match Preview

In the 10th round, which was the first J1 League match held at the Japan National Stadium, FC Tokyo achieved a 2-0 victory against Gamba Osaka, but suffered a 1-5 defeat in the subsequent away match against Fukuoka. They allowed Fukuoka, who excels in organized defense, to take the lead and were then hit by counterattacks when they pushed forward. As coach Albert had warned before the match that it would be one of the most difficult games, it turned out to be a tough situation for Tokyo.

However, there were also positive elements such as the new option of placing Leandro, who returned to the front line, and Kuryu Matsuki's first professional goal. In order to compete in the season, it is important to find inspiration from defeat and connect it to future growth.

This time we welcome Tosu to Ajinomoto Stadium. We have newly welcomed Kenta Kawai as the coach this season and will continue to play positional football as our foundation. Although the main players have changed from last season, the team's maturity level remains high.

For Tokyo, the opponent is currently on a 5-game losing streak in the league. In order to dispel their weakness and change the momentum from the previous defeat, they need to show a strong mentality and go for the 3 points.
