As for the background of my decision to transfer to Tokyo, I have always told my family and friends that I wanted to play in Japan. Among them, I received an offer from Tokyo and decided to go to Japan without hesitation.

A, I think my strong point is my ability to score goals. Of course, that is my job and I believe I was called to Tokyo to score goals and contribute to the team.
Q, what aspects of Japan were you interested in when deciding to come here?
I have heard a lot about the wonderfulness of Japan from my friends, and one of the aspects that stands out is the politeness. I wanted to experience such charm and also wanted to pass on the values of seriousness and discipline to my children, which is why I became most interested in Japan. Another reason is the J-League. I am curious to see how well I can adapt in Japanese football, which has been growing rapidly in recent years.
Q, what is your impression of the team after joining the practice?
A, I think very highly of it. The strengthening department, coach, and team have welcomed me warmly for joining, and the team has clear goals. We are currently in the process, but I understand and accept it firmly.

A, the environment is well-prepared, and it is impressive that there is a clear goal. As for the players belonging to Tokyo, they are teammates who accept me warmly, so I have a very good impression of both.
Q: Do you have any particular attachment to jersey numbers?
A, the number I have often worn so far is number 28. There was one season where I wore number 22. When I joined Tokyo, number 28 was not available, and the season I wore number 22 was good for me, so I chose number 22 with that meaning in mind.

A, please call me either Luiz or Phellipe, whichever is easier for the fans and supporters. I can respond to both, so please call me whichever pronunciation is easier for you.
