連勝目指し、アウェー埼玉スタジアムに乗り込む！

　『原東京』の攻撃サッカーが炸裂、Ｊリーグの中でもベストゲームと呼べる内容で勝利を飾った開幕戦。その力が決してフロックでないと証明するためには、続く今節も勝利が必要だ。だが何より、どれだけ攻撃的に戦えるか、サッカーの内容が問われる。敵地埼玉スタジアムでのアウェーゲームとなるが、前節に引けを取らない、闘う意志を前面に押し出したサッカーで浦和レッズを打ち負かしたい。

　しかし東京のサイド攻撃のキーマン佐藤が負傷のため欠場。右サイドハーフはこの試合がＪ１デビューとなる星が先発出場することとなった。

Streaking into Saitama

With the accolades from last week's stirring victory over the Antlers still ringing in their ears, F. C. Tokyo made the short journey to Urawa looking to prove it was no fluke. Could they reproduce the same form in the intimidating atmosphere of the Saitama stadium? Dashing winger Sato was sidelined by injury, allowing Daisuke Hoshi to make his first team debut on the right of midfield.

激しいボールの奪い合いに終始、リズムをつくれず

　キックオフのボールをつないで、いきなり左サイドから小林成光が抜け出し勝負する。クロス性のボールは相手GKにキャッチされたが、今日のゲームに期待をもたせるファーストプレーであった。しかしその後は五分五分の展開に。中盤や最終ラインでの激しいチェックでつぶし合い、お互いリズムがつくれない。

　東京は小林成、星、そして三浦がサイドからチャンスをつくるが、クロスは相手DFにカットされシュートにはいたらない。12分にはCKのこぼれを拾った星が、両チーム合わせて初めてのシュートを。16分、宮沢の30数ｍの直接FKはバーの上に。22分にはFKからジャーンが豪快なシュートを放ったが、ゴール右にはずれた。

　対する浦和も、FWエメルソンがサイドへ流れて仕掛けてくるが、その後のコンビネーションが噛み合わない。度々後方からサイドのスペースをついたパスを送られたが、東京DFがきっちり対応してシュートには持ち込ませなかった。

　その中で30分、小林成が思い切りよくミドルシュートを放つ。相手GKが勢いに負け、こぼしたところにケリーがつめて、ゴールに向かってボールを浮かせた。だがわずかに右にはずれ、惜しいチャンスを逃す。

　激しいボールの奪い合いは続き、34分頃には三浦が負傷、36分には下平がラフプレーで警告を受ける。39分には負傷した三浦に替わって浅利が入ったが、結局0対0のまま前半を終え、後半へと折り返した。

Both Sides Struggle to Find Rhythm

Straight from the kick off Masamitsu Kobayashi raced down the left wing and curled in a centre; the Reds keeper held the ball but Tokyo seemed to have started the way they finished the previous game. Unfortunately this proved to be a false dawn as neither side was able to seize control of the midfield and the Reds defence dealt comfortably with the crosses Tokyo could muster. Twelve minutes had elapsed before Hoshi managed the first shot of the game. Four minutes later Miyazawa blasted a 30 metre free kick over the bar and in the 22nd. minute Jean fired narrowly wide. 
Despite Emerson's promptings the Reds attack was toothless and barely threatened the Tokyo goal. Tokyo nearly took the lead in the 30th. minute after the home keeper spilled Kobayashi's sharp drive, but Kelly's toe poke sailed just the wrong side of the post. 
The midfield battle heated up with Miura suffering an injury after 34 minutes and Shimotaira receiving a yellow card soon after. Asari replaced Miura and the first half ended 0-0. 

星のアシスト、小林成光の２試合連続ゴールで先制！

　46分、小林成がルーズボールをカットすると、アマラオ、ケリー、星が一気に守から攻めに転じてゴール前に駆け上がる。星のクロスはDFにカットされたが切替の速いプレーをみせた。47分には、浅利が攻め上がってサイドにパスを散らし、粘り強くこぼれ球を拾っては前線に送る。そんな好プレーで後半は開始した。

　そして50分、下平が左側に流れていた星に縦パスを入れると、星は中央にドリブルで進むと素速くクロスをゴール前に。このボールの落ち際に、小林成が走り込んでジャンプして合わせると、ボールはゴールに転がり込んだ！　小林成の２試合、得点王タイとなる連続３点目のゴールで先制!!　決してビューティフルゴールではなかったが、「1点」にかわりはない。常にチャンスをうかがい体を張る----星のアシストも含めて、ゴールへの執着心が素晴らしい得点を生んだ。

Hoshi Lays On The Opener for Kobayashi 

F. C. Tokyo began the second half in determined mood. A lightning fast counter attack in the 46th. minute set the tone with Asari joining in and battling to regain possession after it broke down. Tokyo took the lead in the 50th. minute as Hoshi cut inside on the left and launched an early cross to the far post where Masamitsu Kobayashi leapt to direct the ball beyond the keeper with the faintest of touches. Three goals in two games and joint top scorer status for Kobayashi, a valuable assist on his debut for Hoshi. Not the most beautiful goal ever scored but they all count.

　先制して勢いに乗りたい東京であったがアクシデントは突然起こった。55分、浦和右ウィング山田の突進を下平が体で阻止。このプレーで2回目の警告を受けると、退場となってしまった。10人になった東京は58分、星に替えて小峯を左サイドに投入。小林成が右サイドに回る。逆に浦和は60分、MFアリウソンに替えてスピードのあるFWトゥットを投入してきた。

　東京の劣勢は免れず、62分にはトゥット、直後にエメルソンと立て続けにヘディングシュートを打たれる。64分、城定からトゥットに出されたスルーパスは、GK土肥が判断よく飛びだしてファインセーブ。68分には、トゥットからエメルソンに絶妙のパスがわたり、土肥が果敢に飛び込んだがかわされてしまう。絶体絶命のピンチであったが、エメルソンのシュートは、小峯が全力で戻ってクリア。東京はそれぞれが集中を切らさず、よく守った。

　浦和は81分、MF土橋に替えてFW田中を入れ４トップに。対して東京は84分、傷んだ伊藤に替えて最前線に福田を投入。アマラオを中盤に下げて、CB小峯、左サイド浅利という布陣に。しかし、カットしてもクリアしても奪い返され、支配される苦しい時間帯が続いた。その中でアマラオは、浦和がボールを放り込んでくると見るや最終ラインまで下がってディフェンス。そして、攻め込まれる中でも訪れるわずかなチャンスの時には、きっちり前線まで攻め上がった。労を惜しまず、機に応じたプレーで、熱く冷静にチームをリードした。

　最後まで慌てなかった東京は、浦和の猛攻も全員で防ぎタイムアップ。前節とは打って変わった守りのサッカーで、1点を守りきった。理想とする攻撃サッカーは見せられなかったが、「アウェーゲームでの戦い方」を見せたとも言える。今年の東京は「攻めだけではない、守り抜く力もある」ことをアピールした結果となった。ここまで大熊サッカーが築き上げた「ベース」で堅い守りを披露し、中盤の選手である小林成がゴール前に飛び込で得点するという「攻撃的な」新サッカーで貴重な勝利を手にした。

【原監督の会見要旨】「苦しい試合だった。鹿島戦では攻撃的にいけたが、レッズは早めに放り込んできた。本来は宮沢と三浦のところでもう少しつなげるはずだが、芝生のコンディションもあるのか、前半はリズムがなかなかできないうちに絡まれ、奪われてスペースに入れられた。アマラオ、ケリーにはマンツーマン気味にDFにつかれていたので、ハーフタイムには、その2人が作った逆サイドのスペースへもう少し簡単に入れていこうと話した。その通りに星から小林という形ができて得点できたのはよかったが、退場と怪我人が出て、バタバタしながらも選手はよく守りきってくれた。去年までの財産だと思う。選手には感謝したいが、まだまだ修正しなくてはいけないところも多い。次はホームなので、ガンガン行く。」

Ten man Tokyo Weather Red Storm for Vital Win 

Buoyed by the goal Tokyo were looking to press their advantage but suffered a blow just five minutes later as Shimotaira received his second yellow card for a block on Yamada. Tokyo reshuffled quickly; Komine replaced Hoshi and Masamitsu Kobayashi switched to the right. The Reds brought on speedy forward Tuto in place of Harison. 
The expected bombardment of the Tokyo goal began with Tuto flashing two headers wide and Doi pulling off a superb save from the same player a few minutes later. In the 68th. minute a glorious through ball from Tuto set Emerson free in the area; Doi smothered his first attempt and Komine was on hand to clear the follow up off the line. Desperate for an equalizer the Reds brought on Fukuda in the 81st. minute for a four man front line. Tokyo responded by replacing Ito with Fukuda and dropping Amaral back into midfield where he performed heroically, joining in the defence and racing forward when Tokyo regained possession. 
The Reds were unable to find a way through the solid Tokyo defence and the game finished 1-0. Not the sparkling attacking football of the opening game but an object lesson in away game tactics: the defensive tenacity developed under previous manager Kiyoshi Okuma, coupled with another goal from midfield by Kobayashi won the day, and the three points, for Tokyo. 

Manager Hara: That was a tough game. The Reds are a fast breaking team and in the first half Miura and Miyazawa didn't quite link up so well, the pitch was in poor condition and we couldn't find our rhythm. The defenders manmarking Amaral and Kelly were tiring so at half time I told the players to use the space this created for us on the opposite side. They did and Hoshi found Kobayashi for the goal. The red card and injuries were distractions but the team defended very well, and I appreciate that. There are still many areas to work on but we'll be going flat out at the next home game.
