リーグ戦中断前のラスト・ホームゲームを勝利で！

　国立競技場で開催される今節は、現在10位のジェフユナイテッド市原と対戦する。5位につける東京は、順位こそ離しているが、その勝点差はわずか１。また両チームとも、ここ2試合勝ち星に恵まれず、勝って浮上のきっかけをつかみたい一戦だ。

　また、早いもので、ワールドカップのためにインターバルを置くリーグ戦では、中断前7節の中で今日がホームゲームのラストとなる。優勝戦線に残るにはもちろん、続くアウェー連戦に臨むためにも、気持ちよくホーム国立で勝利を飾りたい。

Last Home Game Before World Cup 

The opponents for the fifth game of the season, a home game at the National Stadium, were JEF United Ichihara. JEF, lying 10th.in the table five places below F.C.TOKYO, but seperated by only one point, had failed to win in their previous two games, like their hosts; both teams were keen to return to winning ways. 
F.C.TOKYO were equally anxious to post a good result in the final home match before the World Cup break. 

チャンスはつくるもゴールを割れず、逆に前半終了間際に失点

　前半開始から、高い位置で奪っては攻撃に転じる東京。2分、星からアマラオへのパスはオフサイドに。6分には小林成が、相手バックラインからボールを奪ってGKと１対１に。惜しくもDFに詰められシュートはならなかったが、いずれも相手DFの立ち上がりの不安定さを見逃さず、「前へ」という姿勢を見せた。

　8分には、市原MF増田に強烈なミドルシュートを打たれるが、土肥がパンチングでCKに逃れる。そのCKからFW崔が放ったヘディングシュートはゴール右に。しかしこの間のプレーでディフェンスの要・ジャーンが傷んでしまい、開始13分、早くも小峯との交代を余儀なくされた。だが、セカンドボールをよく拾って相手陣内でプレーする東京は、18分には、中盤の宮沢が強くて速い、意表をつくスルーパスをゴール前に送る。受けた星がオフサイドにかかったが、中央からの攻撃のバリエーションも見せた。

　果敢に戦う東京であったが、その分相手のプレーをファールで阻止することも多く、FKを与えることに。このセットプレーを利用して市原も攻めに転じる。27分、FKから崔がヘディングシュート。続く28分、カウンターから再び崔がシュートを放つが、いずれも土肥がセーブ。東京も35分には、ペナルティエリア右脇あたりからのFKを、宮沢が判断よく中央でフリーになっていたケリーに送るが、シュートはわずかに右にそれる。決定的なシーンであったがチャンスを逃した。逆に38分、市原MF阿部のゴール正面からのFKは、土肥がワンハンドでセーブ。土肥は、43分にもMF坂本の放った強烈なミドルシュートを跳ね返し、ファインプレーを連発した。しかし前半終了間際の44分、市原の左後方のFKから、阿部がDFラインとGKの間に絶妙のボールを送る。これに東京守備陣の間を割るように飛び出したDF茶野が頭で合わせて先制。東京は嫌な時間帯にビハインドを背負い、後半へと折り返した。

F.C.TOKYO Create But JEF Finish

F.C.TOKYO took the game to JEF straight from the kick off, pushing up the field and harrying a rather shaky looking defence into some mistakes. 
Masamitsu Kobayashi had the best early chance as he was clean through with only the keeper to beat, but a last ditch block prevented a certain goal. At the other end keeper Doi punched away a well struck effort from Masuda in the 8th. minute with Che Yon Su heading the resulting corner narrowly wide. 
F.C.TOKYO suffered a blow in the 13th. minute when defensive lynch-pin Jean was forced to leave the field with a strained groin. JEF slowly worked their way back into the match, winning a series of free kicks and threatening on the break. Kelly nearly put F.C.TOKYO ahead from a well-worked free kick in the 35th. minute but his shot crept inches wide of the post. Doi kept TOKYO in the game with another stunning one handed save from Abe's well struck free kick in the 38th. minute and followed it up with an amazing double save from Sakamoto five minutes later. Despite Doi's heroics JEF finally breached the last line in the 44th. minute. Abe swung in a powerful, curling free kick and Chano appeared between Doi and the last defender to head JEF in front on the stroke of half time.

ガッツあふれる宮沢のJ1初ゴールで、同点に!!

　後半立ち上がりから攻勢に出たのは市原。長いボールは崔に当て、FW羽生の突破を活かした速い攻めを仕掛けてくる。48分には羽生がDFラインの裏へ抜け出たが、これは土肥が一歩速く飛び出してセーブ。こぼれ球を拾った崔のループシュートもゴールの上へはずれて、事無きを得た。

　東京は、市原のセットプレーから素早い切り替えで攻撃に転じ、51分、53分とカウンターを仕掛ける。右サイドから星が度々クロスを上げ、ケリー、アマラオが市原ゴールに迫るが、いずれも相手DFの寄せが速く、シュートはならず。だが迎えた60分、アマラオが中央でつぶれ役となってCKを得ると、宮沢の蹴った右CKは相手DFにクリアされ、ペナルティエリア右外にこぼれた。これに走り込んだ宮沢が角度のないところからシュート！　ボールは強烈な勢いでゴールネットを突き刺し、同点に追いついた!!

　思いきりのよい宮沢のJ1初ゴールが同点弾となった東京は、勢いに乗って攻め立て、64分には、右からのクロスにアマラオが頭で合わせると、相手GKが一旦はキャッチ。しかし、こぼれたところにケリーが詰めてゴールに押し込んだ。……だがこれは惜しくもオフサイドの判定でノーゴールに。逆に72分、ペナルティエリア直前で与えてしまったFKを、市原MFムイチンが直接狙い、バーを叩いて冷やりとする場面も。それでも気落ちすることなく攻める東京は、宮沢、星も積極的にゴールに向かい、76分には小林成をFW松田に替えて追加点を狙った。だが、90分を終了して１対１のまま、３試合連続の延長戦へと突入した。

Battling Miyazawa Ties It! 

JEF began the second period as they finished the first, knocking long balls towards Che Yon Su and Hanyu; the latter got behind the TOKYO defence in the 48th. minute and Doi had to be off his line very sharply to save and then watch as Che lobbed the rebound fractionally over the bar. Hoshi made some headway for F.C.TOKYO down the right, firing in a couple of crosses but the JEF defence contained Amaral and Kelly. In the 60th. minute a typical burst through the middle by Amaral earned F.C.TOKYO a corner on the right; Miyazawa curled the ball in, only for a defender to head the ball straight back to him just outside the area. Instead of crossing, as the JEF defence expected, Miyazawa lashed the ball hard and low to the near post and it beat the keeper's late dive for a stunning equaliser. 
Miyazawa's first goal in the J-League revitalised F.C.TOKYO and Amaral nearly put them ahead three minutes later but saw his powerful header athletically stopped by the JEF keeper. Kelly seemed certain to net the rebound but was given offside. F.C.TOKYO attacked positively but JEF proved a threat on the break-Muichin rattled the bar with a drive in the 72nd. minute. Young forward Matsuda replaced Masamitsu Kobayashi in the 76th. minute. Despite their best efforts neither side conjured a winner and for the third consecutive game F.C.TOKYO were playing extra time. 

追加点を奪えずドローに終わったが、収穫も

　延長戦に入ると、東京は星に替えて、J1デビューとなるルーキー尾亦を左サイドハーフに投入。ところが市原も羽生に替えて、スピードのあるFW林を投入。この林に東京の左サイドを突破され、立て続けにCKを与えてしまう。だが、一方の尾亦も負けてはいない。相手DFに気後れすることなく挑み、左サイドから好機を演出した。しかし96分には、激しい競り合いの中でケリーが傷んでしまい、東京は4枚目の交代カードを切らざるを得なくなる。ここでもまたJ1リーグ初出場となるMF前田を投入。右サイドハーフに入った前田は98分には、激しい当たりから相手ボールをカット、続いてアマラオにクロスを上げるなど、尾亦と並んで１点を争う過酷な状況の中でも堂々とプレーした。

　延長後半開始早々には、ゴール前のこぼれ球を下平が拾って強烈なミドルシュート。だが、相手GK櫛野がファインプレーでCKに逃れた。その後ピンチをチャンスが交互に現れる慌ただしい展開で、息もつけぬ攻防となったが、どちらも決定力を欠いた。そして118分市原・崔が前線に飛び出し小峯をかわして決定的なシュートを放つが、ポストに阻まれるとタイムアップ。互いに死力を尽くした120分をドローに終わった。

　勝点１ではあるが、先行されても取り返す力を見せ、尾亦、前田らのルーキーも厳しい条件の中で互角に渡り合えるという収穫もあった。だが、この勝点が、今後につながる“１”となるかどうかは、これからの戦いにかかってくる。故障者が多く苦しいチーム状況ではあるが、勝利に向けて一丸となって闘わなければならない。

【原監督の会見要旨】「ジャーンにアクシデントがあって、一瞬チームが動揺してしまったが、その穴は小峯がよく埋めてくれたと思う。立ち上がりは、エスパルス戦の反省を活かし、中盤のバランスもよく、うまくボールを回すことができた。けれど最後の詰めが甘く、前半30分ぐらいまでに１点取ることができていれば…と思う。逆に前半終了間際に失点してしまったが、ハーフタイムには『まだ終わったわけではないし、もう１回行こう』と話した。後半１点取り返した後にもこちらのリズムの時間帯があったので、そこでもう１点取りたかったが…。もちろん勝点3を取りたかったが、危ない場面やポストに助けられた場面も何回かあった中で、選手は最後までよくがんばったと思う。故障者が出て、ジャーン、ケリーも抜けてしまった中、前田、尾亦といった控え選手がよく踏ん張ってくれた。宮沢も含め、若い選手の力で得た“勝点１”だと思う。次節のガンバ戦はケリーが出場停止となるが、こういった若いメンバーももう一歩成長させて、元気のいい選手を使って臨みたい」

All Square 

Extra time saw rookie Omata replace Hoshi as halfback; the speedy forward Hayashi replaced Hanyu for JEF and immediately set about his young opponent, winning a corner kick. Omata gave a good account of himself though, as did young midfielder Maeda who made his first appearance after Kelly was stretchered off following a goal mouth melee in the 96th. minute. In the second half of extra time Shimotaira thundered in a 30 yard rocket producing a flying save from the JEF keeper-the resulting corner came to naught. Both sides produced some heart stopping chances but neither were able to finish them off: Che Yon Su surely must have thought he had won the game in the 118th. minute as he turned Komine inside out, then beat Doi only to see his shot strike the foot of the post and trickle away. 
The final whistle blew soon after and F.C.TOKYO had a solitary point to show for their efforts. Despite falling behind at a crucial time and losing key players to injury, F.C.TOKYO fought hard for two hours and the young players performed creditably in difficult circumstances.The team is struggling with injuries at the moment-the healthy players will have to step up and show their fighting spirit in the remaining games.

" Losing Jean early on was a blow but Komine did a very good job for us. I felt the midfield was well balanced and we played the ball around nicely in the first half but couldn't make the breakthrough we needed; we were lax at the free kick but I told the players at half time that the game wasn't over yet by any means. We found our rhythm and equalised-maybe we could have gone on to win the game. There were many close calls and the woodwork saved us but the players fought very well. The young players came on and did well: in effect they earned the point for us today. Kelly is suspended for the Gamba match so they will have another chance to develope their abilities next week ".
