満員のホーム！　熱いゲームで強豪ジュビロを打ち負かせ！

　前節の大勝を受けて期待のふくらむ今節。相手は現在2位につける、強豪ジュビロ磐田だ。優勝に向けてもう一つも星を落とせない磐田だが、今日の東京スタジアムはクラブ史上２番目となる45,925人の大観衆で満員状態。この日の東京は昼間の気温が36度を越す暑さであったが、熱気あふれる我らがホームでこれぞ東京の攻撃サッカーという戦いをみせ、勝利をもぎとりたい。

　スターティングメンバ-は前節と同様、福田を１トップに置く4-2-3-1のフォーメーションでキックオフを迎えた。

Full House For Visit Of Star-Studded Jubilo 

Following the demolition of Sanfecce in the previous game expectations ran high at Tokyo Stadium for the visit of perennial powerhouse Jubilo Iwata, currently lying second in the League and desperate for three points to bolster their title challenge. The mercury topped 36 C in Tokyo at lunchtime but the sweltering heat failed to discourage a bumper 45,925 crowd, the second highest in club history, from turning out to roar on their team. 
Tokyo remained unchanged from last week with Fukuda as lone striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

厳しいプレッシャーにシュートを打てず、先制を許す

　相手の出方をうかがうように慎重な立ち上がり。だが、3分には宮沢が中盤の深い位置から、前線でこぼれるボールを追いかけてペナルティエリアに侵入。4分には続けて2本のCKを奪い、磐田ゴールにせまる東京。磐田も5分、6分と、右サイドのスペースにFW高原やMF藤田を走らせ、そこから展開しようとする。

　東京は8分には、藤山からのパスを受けた福田がケリーにつなぎ、ケリーがゴール前にスルーパス。11分にはアウトになりそうなサイドチェンジのパスを石川がきっちり追いかけホールドすると、中に切り込んでスルーパス。いい形をみせたが、いずれも飛び出した戸田が惜しくもオフサイドにかかり、チャンスを逃した。

　だが、磐田は徐々に主導権を握り始める。速いプレッシャーからボールを奪うと、暑さの中で決して無理せずシンプルにつなぎ、またDFラインで奪ったボールは一気に前線のFWグラウや高原に送るなど、チャンスをうかがう。

　そして16分、フリーキックからのボールをペナルティエリア前で受けたMF名波が、ゴール前に高いロビングを上げる。追ったMF福西とGK土肥が交錯、ボールがこぼれる中、再び右サイドに流れた福西にわたると、折り返しのボールはDFに当たりながらゴール正面へ。これを待ち構えていた高原がきっちりとゴールに押し込み、両チーム合わせて初めてのシュートで先制を許すこととなった。

　パス回しに冴えをみせる磐田は、ゲームを支配。35分にはグラウがDFラインの裏に抜け、土肥と１対１になったが、これは土肥のファインプレーで追加点は許さず。すると直後の36分に東京は、ケリーのスルーパスを右サイドから素晴らしいスピードで抜け出した石川がゴールに向かって突進。そのままドリブルから狙い澄ましてシュート。だが惜しくもボールはゴールを横切ってしまった。

　これを含めて、前半の東京のシュートはわずか2本。磐田の厚い中盤がことごとく東京の出足の芽を摘み、東京は防戦に回る中、１点のビハインドを背負って後半へと折り返した。

F.C.TOKYO Pinned Back, Fall Behind 

The home side began brightly, Miyazawa finding some space in the Jubilo area after three minutes and winning a pair of corner kicks. Jubilo countered, looking to free forward Takahara and midfielder Fujita down the right. Some sterling work by Ishikawa set up Toda in the 8th. minute but he was given offside. 
Slowly, however, Jubilo began to exert a grip in midfield, winning challenges, playing short, simple passes and aiming for front runners Gral and Takahara. 
The visitors took the lead in the 16th. minute with a scrappy goal. Nanami lobbed a free kick into the Tokyo area; Fukunishi and Doi leapt for the ball which then ricocheted off various players and fell kindly to Fukunishi who found Takahara, again via a deflection, a yard in front of the goal line for the simplest of tap ins. Jubilo took the lead with the first shot on target by either team. 
The visitors were controlling the game, content to retain possession, force F.C.TOKYO to chase the ball, and wait for their opportunities. The best chance of the game fell to Gral in the 36th. minute as a fine through ball sent him clear of the home defence with only Doi to beat. The Tokyo keeper stood his ground and then dived sharply to his right for a superb save to 
deny Jubilo a second goal. Tokyo were inches away from an equaliser moments later as a defence splitting pass from Kelly saw Ishikawa outpace the Jubilo backs with a dazzling burst of speed and hammer a shot wide of the left post. 
Including that attempt Tokyo managed only two shots during the first half which finished 0-1, due to the stifling Jubilo midfield which had effectively denied them any time and space on the ball. 

反撃の糸口をつまれて…

　この日行われたイベント「ファイヤーワークスナイト」で、ハーフタイムには豪快に花火が打ち上げられ、後半に向けた戦いを後押しするはずだった。福田に替えてアマラオを投入、反撃の糸口としたい東京だったが、後半もペースを握ったのは磐田。ボランチの福西と服部という日本代表コンビが速い寄せから厳しいプレスをかけて奪うと、ボールを支配する。

　東京は53分には、右サイドで石川がケリーとワンツーパスを交わすと一気にペナルティエリアに攻め込み、果敢にシュート。56分にも宮沢からのパスを受けたアマラオがシュート。いずれも「前へ」という意識は見られるものの、ゴールネットを揺らすことができない。戸田のスピードを活かした飛び出しは、最終ラインの3バックががっちりとケア。サイドからのクロスも読まれてしまい、ことごとくクリアされる。

　磐田は57分、グラウに替えてスピードのあるMF川口をFWに投入。余裕の試合運びに加え、スピード勝負で追い討ちをかける。東京は63分に下平に替えて喜名を投入したが、直後の65分、この磐田MF川口が、東京の浅いDFラインをぶっちぎりのスピードで抜け出すとゴール至近距離からシュート。これは土肥が反応よくセーブしてCKに逃れた。

　だがこれで得た左CKから、ニアサイドで合わせた高原がヘディングシュートを放つと、ゴールイン。東京の反撃モードをくじく形で追加点を奪われてしまった。

Fightback Smothered 

The crowd were treated to an explosive fireworks display at half time and anticipated some fireworks on the pitch as Amaral replaced Fukuda for the second half. The expected fightback failed to materialise though as the Japan double defensive half duo of Hattori and Fukunishi battled unremittingly for the ball. Ishikawa played a neat one-two with Kelly in the 53rd. minute but shot wide in Tokyo's first serious attempt of the half. 
Three minutes later Amaral seizes on a Miyazawa through ball and managed a shot. TOKYO switched their attention to the wings but the Jubilo backline dealt comfortably with the crosses. Jubilo replaced Gral with the speedy Kawaguchi after 57 minutes; TOKYO responded by introducing the equally fast Kina for Shimotaira a few minutes later. Kawaguchi hared past the TOKYO 
defence in the 65th. minute, veered into the area and smashed a shot from point blank range at Doi. Takahara headed home the resultant corner at the near post to kill off TOKYO's nascent fightback. 

磐田の壁を崩せず、今季初、悔しいホームでの敗戦

　それでも一矢を報いたい東京は、支配される中でもチャンスをつくった。72分、DFラインでパスカットするとケリーが右ゴールエリアまで持ち込み、戸田がゴール前に詰めたが、わずかに合わせられず。74分には、左サイドに抜け出た戸田からのクロスに、アマラオがドンピシャのタイミングでヘディングシュート。だが、わずかに左にはずれた。

　75分あたりからは戸田をトップに、石川を左にケリーを右に置く形で臨み、76分には、左サイドの石川からの絶妙のクロスに戸田がゴール前に走り込んだが、わずかに届かず。

　スピードを活かした石川の奮闘が光り、速い展開で攻防が繰り広げられるが、磐田の最終ラインは集中が切れず、どうしても壁を崩すことができない。80分には藤山に替えて茂庭を投入し、最後の最後まであきらめずラストチャンスをうかがったが、非情のタイムアップ。無得点のまま、今季ホームで初の悔しい敗戦となった。

　だが、差は見せつけられたものの、決してモチベーションなく敗れたわけではない。この結果を悲観することなく、これからの戦いに向けた糧としたい。気持ちを切り替え、次節、中3日でのヴェルディ戦に臨む。

【原監督の会見要旨】「完敗だ。我々からプレッシャーをかけていきたかったが、ジュビロのほうが一枚上手というか、プレスをかけているつもりでもうまくつながれ、特に2トップや2列目の動きに混乱してしまった。ジュビロのほうがやろうとすることが徹底できていた。両サイドバックからつないでいきたかったが、プレッシャーをかけられると慌ててしまって、前に蹴ることになってしまった。そのあたりからジュビロのリズムになってしまったと思う。これだけのお客さんが入ってくれたのでもうちょっと攻撃的にいきたかったが、ジュビロの選手、特に福西と服部を始めとしたバランス良いサッカーの前に消沈してしまった。相手は良くサッカーを知ってるなというのが正直な感想だ。だが、次に対戦する時までにはなんとか追いつけるようにしたい」

【鈴木監督の会見要旨】「優勝するためには、今日どうしても勝ち点3＝90分間の勝利が必要だと、試合前のミーティングでも話していた。みんなで一つになって戦えて勝利したことは大きく、次につながる試合であった。細かい反省点はあるが、（失点）０で切りぬけられたことがよかった。GKとの連係、DFラインを含めて大きなプラス材料としていきたい」

F.C.TOKYO Fall To Season First Home Loss 

TOKYO were down but not out and continued to push forward despite limited possession. Toda was inches away from a spectacular leaping volley after 72 minutes and two minutes later Amaral headed a Toda cross fractionally wide. 
With 15 minutes remaining TOKYO reshuffled the attack; Toda up front, Ishikawa on the right and Kelly on the left. The pacy Ishikawa caused problems for the Jubilo backline, now visibly tiring, but still a goal wouldn't come. Minowa replaced Fujiyama as a last throw of the dice but Van Zwam repelled the best efforts of the TOKYO eleven and the game finished 0-2. 
TOKYO may have posted their first home defeat of the year but certainly didn't lack motivation and battled to the bitter end. They hope to bounce back against Verdy in the Tokyo Derby on Wednesday night. 

F.C.TOKYO manager Hara : 
" A comprehensive defeat. We were hoping to attack them down the flanks but they closed those avenues down and when we came 
through the middle we ran into Fukunishi and Hattori, who were outstanding. I was hoping for a more attacking display for the fans; it wasn't to be but we'll learn from this and give them a better game next time ". 

Jubilo manager Suzuki : 
" We really needed a win within the 90 minutes to maintain our title challenge and we achieved it by playing as a team. The 
defence and goalkeeper did very well and we were delighted to keep a clean sheet ".
