The punishment for bringing and using explosives and dangerous substances in the FC Tokyo side goal back free seating stand during the 3rd round of the Emperor's Cup JFA 103rd All Japan Soccer Championship held on July 12, 2023 (Wed) has been decided by the disciplinary committee of the Japan Football Association (JFA) today, September 1 (Fri), and we would like to inform you.
FC Tokyo will take the decision issued by JFA seriously and will take measures under consultation with relevant parties to ensure the safety of spectators, teams, and operations in future tournaments, and will strive to prevent recurrence.
Note: Regarding the four individuals who brought and used dangerous substances, they have been indefinitely banned from entering the stadium by the JFA on Jul 28 (Fri) (this includes all matches held within Japan [including matches organized by the J League and various associations]). As a club, we will implement measures in accordance with this punishment.

The target audience, just before the kickoff time (19:00) of the 3rd round match of this tournament against Tokyo Verdy, which took place on July 12, 2023 (Wednesday) at Ajinomoto Stadium, caused a situation where multiple supporters of the target audience (hereinafter referred to as "the supporters") used fireworks and smoke bombs for about 1 minute and 20 seconds in the stadium (near the supporters' goal side, front row of the lower stand), and failed to take appropriate measures to prevent the occurrence and spread of damage and to ensure the safety of spectators, players, and other individuals involved in the match.
