苦しい状況を、フレッシュな選手の投入で乗り切りたい

　今節よりールデンウィーク3連戦に突入。前節までに3連敗し、故障者の多い東京にとっては厳しい状況が続く。この状況の中、原監督は「新しい刺激が必要」と、今節は先発にダニーロと迫井を起用。ダニーロについては「どうしてもルーカスが孤立気味になっている。その時にダニーロが入れば近くでプレーすることができる。2人のコンビで、彼らにしかできないリズムがつくれる」。また迫井については「チームとして少し自信をなくしている。その時に声を出して、チームを後方から安定させられる力と経験がある」と、それぞれに期待をかけた。茂庭もケガから復帰。左MFには「ダニーロのプレーの感覚をわかっている」という栗澤を入れ、全体のバランスを取るため、今野、宮沢のダブルボランチの布陣で臨むことに。

　柏は、現在1勝3分3敗でリーグ17位と下位にいる。だが、ナビスコカップ予選第1節で対戦した際は、徹底したマークと激しいプレスの前に、1対3で敗れた相手。今後の対戦を考えると、ここで柏を叩いておきたいところである。そして東京にとってはこれ以上連敗はできない一戦。ダニーロ、迫井の起用で新たな刺激を受けたチームがどれだけアグレッシブに戦えるのか、注目だ。試合は、昼間の暑さも和らいだ味の素スタジアム、19時3分に東京のキックオフでスタートした。

Fresh Faces Aim To Halt Slump 

F.C.TOKYO entered the Golden Week holiday schedule of three games in a week on a three match losing streak with several regulars injured. "We need to shake things up," commented manager Hara, and gave Sakoi and Danilo their first starts of the season. "Lucas has been isolated up front. Danilo can play closer to him and the pair can create a unique rhythm for us. The team is lacking a little confidence right now; we need stability at the back and Sakoi has experience and is vocal on the field". Moniwa returned from injury. Kurisawa appeared on the right of midfield claiming a developing understanding with Danilo while Miyazawa and Konno filled the defensive midfield slots. 
Opponents Reysol lay in 17th. position in the standings prior to kick off but had beaten TOKYO 3-1 in a Nabisco Cup qualifying group match earlier in the year using tight marking and intense pressure. TOKYO badly needed to end the slump given the coming fixture list; whether Danilo and Sakoi could provide added stimulus and how aggressively the team would play were the vital questions. 
The heat of noon had subsided as TOKYO kicked off on a balmy evening in Ajinomoto Stadium. 

押し気味に進めるも、先制を許し…

　両チームともに集中した立ち上がり。東京は8分、石川がダニーロとワンツーをかわして、右サイドを駆け上がりクロス。ファーで栗澤が拾い、中に回り込んでシュートを放つが、相手GKがキャッチ。12分には、宮沢の前線への浮き球のパスから右CK。石川のキックをジャーンが合わせるがヒットせず。13分には柏のチャンス。石川のクリアが相手にわたり、FW安永が左サイドを突破。鋭いクロスが送られ、ゴール前でFW玉田が待ち構えていたが、ジャーンの守備でシュートは打たせず。15分には柏が左CKからMFクレーベルがファーの角度のないところからヘッドで合わせるが、土肥がセーブ。拮抗した展開が続く。

　17分には宮沢の蹴った右CKをゴール前の混戦から相手DFがクリア、これがポストを直撃。18分には、宮沢のサイドチェンジから石川がドリブルシュート。相手GKがこぼすもルーカスは詰めきれず。23分にはルーカスとダニーロがゴール前で細かいパス交換。テクニックと連係プレーを見せたが、惜しくもフィニッシュには持ち込めず。ともに中盤で激しく競り合い、攻守の入れ替わりの速い展開が続いた。決定的なチャンスは互いにつくれなかったものの、東京は宮沢のサイドチェンジや、セットプレーで柏ゴールに迫り、押し気味に進める。

　35分にはボールを奪取した今野が猛然と駆け上がり、右のルーカスへパス。ここからのクロスをゴール前に入ったダニーロがあわせ、左CKを奪う。ゲームの流れは東京であったが、38分、東京のスローインを奪われて、MFクレーベル→右のDF波戸にわたり右クロス。これにゴール正面に上がったクレーベルがヘッドで合わせると、ボールは弧を描いてゴールに吸い込まれイン。シンプルな速いプレーで先制を許してしまった。

　だが、東京もここから猛反撃。40分にはルーカスが右エンドライン際で相手DF2人をかわし、右CKを奪う。ダニーロの右CKのこぼれから、宮沢が2度シュートを放つが、柏の身体を張ったDFに阻まれる。続いて、今野の浮き球のパスのこぼれに宮沢が走りこんでシュートするが、ゴール右に。 42分には、ダニーロ→栗澤の左クロスに相手GKが飛び出し、こぼれを拾った石川が、右エリア内から空いたゴールにシュートを放つが、カバーに入った柏DFに阻まれるとともに、ルーカスがオフサイドに。同点のビッグチャンスを逃した。1点のビハインドを負って後半へと折り返した。

TOKYO Press But Concede Lead 

Both sides made a focused start. In the 8th. minute Ishikawa played a one two with Danilo, raced down the right wing and centred with the ball reaching Kurisawa on the far side. Kurisawa cut inside and shot but Minami held the effort cleanly. In the 12th. minute Miyazawa's lofted ball over the Reysol defence won a corner; Jean made contact with Ishikawa's outswinger but failed to hit the target. Jean produced a fine tackle to deny Tamada in the 13th. minute as a pinpoint cross from Yasunaga picked out the Reysol striker in the box. Doi held Cleber's header from a corner in the 15th. minute as a competitive game unfolded. 
Miyazawa's 17th. minute corner led to a wild melee in the Reysol area with the ball striking a post before being scrambled away to safety. A minute later Ishikawa latched onto a crossfield ball from Miyazawa and shot early; Minami fumbled an awkward bounce but recovered to whip the ball away from the onrushing Lucas. In the 23rd. minute Lucas and Danilo produced some breathtaking one touch passing but were unable to find room for a shot. The intense midfield pressure continued but neither side could fashion a definitive opening. TOKYO threatened through Miyazawa's raking crossfield passes and from set plays as they slowly increased the pressure. 
In the 35th. minute Konno surged forward before laying the ball off to Lucas on the wing. Danilo failed to connect with Lucas' cross by a whisker and the Reysol defence cleared the ball for a corner. TOKYO were in the ascendancy but then fell behind to the simplest of goals. Reysol won the ball from a TOKYO throw in, Cleber found Hato in space on the right wing and continued his run into the TOKYO box, meeting Hato's cross with a cushioned header that arced beyond Doi's despairing dive and into the net. 
TOKYO fought back immediately. Lucas beat two defenders and carried the ball to the byline, winning a corner. Danilo's inswinger wreaked havoc in the visitors area with Miyazawa having two shots blocked by some desperate last ditch defending. Miyazawa then shot wide after racing onto Konno's lofted pass behind the Reysol defence. In the 42nd. minute Danilo set Kurisawa away down the left flank; Kurisawa curled a teasing ball into the area that tempted Minami off his line to punch clear. The half clearance fell to Ishikawa just inside the area; Ishikawa seemed certain to score but a Reysol defender hooked his shot off the line. Lucas was given offside in the ensuing scramble and a golden chance to restore parity before the break was wasted. The first period ended 0-1. 

柏の固い守りと速攻の前に、4連敗を喫する

　気持ちを新たに臨んだ後半。開始早々にビッグチャンスをつくった。46分、石川が右サイドで粘り、迫井をおとりに中へ切り込む。ダニーロにつなぎ、ダニーロはシュート体勢に入りながらも、左からフリーで上がった今野にラストパス。しかし今野のシュートはバーの上に、決定的なチャンスをはずしてしまった。その後もボールを支配し、アグレッシブに柏ゴールに向かうが、今度はフィニッシュに思い切りと工夫がなく、柏の守備の網にかかる格好に。

　56分には宮沢に代えて馬場を投入。馬場を左MFに、栗澤を中央に、今野のワンボランチで反撃に出る。柏も59分にはFW安永に代えてDF小林をボランチに投入。早くも守備を固める体勢を敷いてきた。だが逆に柏は堅守→速攻の狙いがはっきりし、東京は苦しむことになる。迎えた64分、東京は戸田を投入しようとしたその矢先のことだった。左クロスを茂庭がクリアしたが、ボールはゴール前のMFリカルジーニョの前にこぼれる。リカルジーニョは右に逃げるようにキープ。ここから中央への折り返し、後方から猛然と上がってきたDF波戸が受けてダイレクトでゴール前へ。これをMF平山に押し込まれ、東京は2点目を失った。

　ビハインドの流れをなんとか変えようと、65分にはダニーロに代えて戸田を、72分には栗澤に代えて鈴木規を投入。果敢に柏ゴールに向かうが、柏の身体を張った守備に跳ね返されてはカウンターを受ける展開は、ますます強まった。74分にはルーカスが倒され、ゴール20数ｍほど手前、右寄りでFKを得る。しかし鈴木規のキックは柏DFの壁に阻まれる。78分には立て続けにCKのチャンス。馬場の蹴った左CKのこぼれから、石川がエリア右からシュートを放ったが、ゴール左に。82分には金沢からエンドライン際深くから鈴木規がクロス。ゴール前でルーカスが倒されたかに見えたが、ボールはわたらず。ロスタイムには、右スローインからルーカスがドリブルで上がり、シュート体勢に入るがDFに阻まれ、タイムアップ。柏の狙いにはまる形となり、無得点で敗戦。痛い4連敗となった。

【選手コメント】《ダニーロ》「体重も5キロほど落として絞れてきたこともあり、チームにフィットしてきている。だが結果が出せなかったことが残念。初先発だったが、振り返るともっとできたと思う。いまはみんなでこの状況を打開して、勝つことが大事」《迫井》「スタンドからの声援は心強く、味スタでの試合は感慨深いものがあった。勝たなければいけない試合だったが…。先制を許したが、焦りはなかった。2点目を相手に取られたことが敗因。バランスは悪くなかったので、リスクを負ってでも勝負に出ることが必要だったかもしれない」《金沢》「流れが悪い状況をどこかで変えていかなければならない。全員で立て直しを図るしかない」

　【原監督の会見要旨】「連敗していたので、選手を入れ替え、特に最終ラインには迫井を入れ、茂庭もケガから戻ってきたので安定させようとした。攻撃にも新しいアクセントがほしかったのでダニーロを入れた。ダニーロはまだ完全ではないが、ボールキープやゴール前での落ち着きで何回かいいシーンをつくった。ただ、今のチーム状態なのか、決して悪くない試合をしながらも1点取られると急に不安になってしまう。ハーフタイムには『1点差だし必ずチャンスは来る。ルーカスとダニーロにうまくボールを入れて、そこをフォローしよう』と話し、後半直後、いい形でダニーロから今野にパスが出た。今のチーム状態を象徴しているのかもしれないが、そこではずし、また自信を失った。2点目を失った後は、ボールを前に当てるのを怖がって横パスやバックパスに終わり、ゴール前まで行かずに奪われることが多かった。スタンドからも『シュート打て』と言われたが、まさしくそのとおりだと思う。弱気で、ボールを持っても自信のなさが出てしまっている。柏はかなり高いモチベーションで来ることが予想できたが、実際に個々の競り合いでも負けていた。システムや戦い方よりもまずは球際で上回らなければ。そこからしっかり戦っていかないと我々のよさも出ない。すぐ次の試合もあるので、なんとか踏みとどまり、全員で立て直したい。今こそ選手、スタッフ一丸となって、強い気持ちで苦しい状況を乗り越えていかなければいけない」

　【柏・早野監督の会見要旨】「今日のゲーム前、選手たちと集中して闘おうと誓ってピッチに出て行った。うれしい勝利だが、サポーターとクラブの人たちにもプレゼントしたい。東京のサイド攻撃を抑えるための4バックが非常に機能していた。後半、東京がワンボランチにして攻撃に出てくるところに、DF小林がいい仕事をして守備が安定し、2点目につながった。全体的にはまだまだだが、いいゲームをしても勝ちきれないことがある。今日は選手たちのハートを感じるようなゲームだった。それをベースに、今日の結果に安心せずにもっと前進していきたい」

Solid Defence Denies TOKYO

TOKYO began the second half in purposeful fashion and created a clear chance in the 48th. minute. Ishikawa battled down the right before slipping the ball inside to Sakoi. Sakoi moved the ball on to Danilo in a good position on the edge of the Reysol area; Danilo feinted to shoot but rolled the ball to Konno, bursting forward on his left. With only the keeper to beat Konno shot over the bar and another opportunity went begging. TOKYO enjoyed the lion's share of possession but were unable to break down the stubborn Reysol defence. 
Baba replaced Miyazawa in the 56th. minute, moving to the left of midfield with Kurisawa in the centre and Konno as a single holding midfielder. Reysol countered by removing forward Yasunaga and introducing Kobayashi as a defensive midfielder. The visitors had shifted to a defensive mode early but managed to trouble TOKYO with counter attacks. In the 64th. minute, while TOKYO were waiting to introduce Toda, disaster struck. Moniwa cleared a cross but the ball fell to Ricardinho, who played it into the path of the onrushing Hato. Hato clipped the ball first time across the area and Hirayama prodded home to double the visitors lead. 
Desperately needing a goal TOKYO replaced Danilo with Toda and Kurisawa with Suzuki. Reysol were content to defend and look to hit back on the counter attack. In the 74th. minute Lucas was fouled 20 metres from goal but Suzuki hammered the free kick into the wall. In the 78th. minute TOKYO won a pair of corners but Ishikawa failed to hit the target with a looping shot from the second one. TOKYO had a good shout for a penalty turned down in the 82nd. minute as Lucas went down under pressure attempting to meet Suzuki's cross. The home side fought to the bitter end but were unable to breach the Reysol defence and the final whistle blew on a fourth successive defeat. 


Players' comments 
Danilo: 
" I've lost five kilos, exerted myself and fitted into the team well. It's very disappointing we couldn't get the result though. I started the game but, looking back, I think I could have done more. We all know winning is important to break out of this situation". 

Sakoi: 
" The support of the crowd really lifted me today. It was a game we should have won. We conceded the first goal and didn't panic, but the second was the killer. Our balance wasn't bad but I suppose we have to take risks if we want to win". 

Kanazawa: 
" We have to change something to stem the tide. We'll all have to work together to find a solution". 


TOKYO manager Hara: 
" We're on a losing streak so we brought in Sakoi to stabilise the defence and Moniwa came back from injury. We needed something new in attack and selected Danilo to provide that. He's not at his best yet but can hold the ball up and is cool in front of goal. He showed some good touches today. Right now though, even if we're not playing badly but concede a goal we immediately become anxious. At half time I told the team that it was only a single goal and that chances would surely come. I told them to get the ball up to Lucas and Danilo and then move forward in support. At the start of the second half we did just that, when Danilo set up Konno. The move was like a symbol of our current situation; Konno missed and we lost a little more confidence. After the second goal we lost our nerve and were playing the ball sideways or back instead of forward, and then losing possession. The crowd was chanting, "Shoot, shoot" and that's right. We became timid and lost self confidence when we had the ball. We expected Reysol to be highly motivated but we lost out in every individual match up. We have to move the ball about; if we can't do that we can't play to our strengths. There's another game coming up soon and we'll have to rally ourselves for that. The players and staff are all united in working to overcome this situation ". 

Reysol manager Hayano: 
" The players vowed to fight hard today before they went on the pitch. We're very pleased with the win. It's a great present for the club and the fans. Our back line played extremely well in containing the TOKYO attack on the flanks. When they changed formation to a single holding midfielder and attacked in the second half Kobayashi did a great job in defence and was involved in our second goal. Overall we still have a long way to go and sometimes you can play well and not win. The team showed real heart today. We can't be merely satisfied with today's result as we need to use that as our base and progress ".
